Not Suitable for Fine, Protein-Sensitive Hair

Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo for Fine Hair and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner for Fine Hair — Not Suitable for Fine, Protein-Sensitive Hair I recently tried the Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo for Fine Hair and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner for Fine Hair after a salon stylist recommended them, assuring me they were ideal for fine hair and safe for occasional heat styling. Because I'm protein-sensitive, I contacted Olaplex via their live chat to confirm that these versions did not contain protein. The representative confirmed they were protein-free and suitable for daily use, even on fine hair. However, my experience was extremely disappointing. The shampoo lathered well but left my hair feeling rough and coated as I rinsed. The conditioner provided temporary softness in the shower, but once I combed through my hair, it was tangled, difficult to manage, and I noticed some breakage. After air-drying, my hair felt dry, stiff, and looked dull — very unlike the "hydrating" or "bond-repairing" results I was expecting. Upon reviewing the ingredient lists, I discovered Hydrolyzed Quinoa, which is a protein, and Isopropyl Alcohol, a drying ingredient — both unsuitable for fine or protein-sensitive hair. In my opinion, these products are not appropriate for daily use on fine hair, and they certainly aren't protein-free. I would not recommend Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo for Fine Hair or No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner for Fine Hair to anyone with fine or protein-sensitive hair.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Going back to regular olaplex

Made my hair feel dirty, not clean. I was very disappointed in this product as I've been an olaplex user for years. I have fine hair and thought this would be lightweight on my hair, but made it felt coarse, oily, and like I had left conditioner in my hair. :(

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

My Fine Hair Finally Feels Soft and Manageable

This conditioner works amazingly on my fine, delicate hair. It adds moisture and shine without making it greasy. My hair feels airy, light, and bouncy — like I just left the salon. It pairs perfectly with the Olaplex No.4 shampoo for that smooth, frizz-free finish. Highly recommend if you struggle with limp or tangled hair. I received this as part of an educational promotion.

Best conditioner I've ever used

This conditioner is the best I have ever used. I frequently bleach my hair and kinda put it through the ringer when it comes to heat tools but since ive used this conditioner, my hair has honestly felt completely different. It feels SO healthy and so strong that I honestly never want to use a different conditioner after using this. It has healed my hair tremendously….so much so that my hair has even started growing again. I highly recommend this to anyone who suffers from a lot of breakage, bleaches their hair, has dry or damaged hair, or someone that uses a lot of heat on their hair. Its transformed my hair texture and smells incredible. I was sent this product in exchange for my honest review.
