I have got to start off by saying this shampoo is thick. I was immediately impressed with Olaplex's No.4 Bond Maintenance shampoo for fine hair. I could feel more volume, but what I really like is how shiny my hair looks. This thick formula really lathers up, cleaning my scalp, cleaning my hair (without stripping it) and giving me that feeling of more volume. What surprised my was even with more body, I was still able to manage my hair. I usually let my hair air dry to keep a more natural look but my waves can sometimes go all willy nilly and do what they want. With the Olaplex shampoo, I can comb my hair back and use clips to achieve a real pretty wave throughout my hair... and with shine. I almost forgot, the shampoo smells good. It's got that fresh clean smell, with hints of citrus and what I call "green", as in trees or foliage. I used this in conjunction with the Olaplex Conditioner for Fine Hair. I had used the original Olaplex shampoo and conditioner in the past. This shampoo is comparable to the original I think, as far as texture and scent. The shampoo is a thick rich shampoo, that then lathers really well, better than expected for how thick it seems to be honest. And a little goes a long way! So even though the bottle doesn't seem like much for the price, it does last a long time as you don't need to use much, and you don't need to use all the time. And besides, the effects of the shampoo sre worth it! My hair had been bleached multiple times over the years, but I've been growing my hair out; and while magically I don't have split ends, the ends are much drier and straw-like compared to the new growth higher up. I hadn't been using olaplex original shampoo and conditioner for a while as I was trying something new , but after just one use of these products, I noticed that my hair is softer and smoother and feels more hydrated. It also has a nice shine to it without appearing greasy. It noticeably has more volume to it as well after just one use. But after multiple uses, I've noticed a decrease in shedding , so I'm assuming my hair is also stronger with less breakage. In a short time of use, my hair already appears overall healthier.
