In 'how to use' it is recommended that you shake the bottle. My brand new bottle contains such thick product that it doesn't move at all when I shake it and I have to scrap the side of the bottle to get anything on the applicator. Is this normal or could I have gotten a defective item? Thanks.

This is either the second or third time I have order these eyeshadows. I am 75 and do not put on a full face of makeup everyday when I just plan to be around the house. But there are a few things I always try to do and these shadows are one thing I use. They glide on easily to cover any veins, they last all day and the colors look natural. I especially love them on beach days. You just have to find the shades(s) that work best for you. .
