    I love you, orly

After a few bad experiences with OPI, a brand which I used to love, I stumbled upon Orly by accident. I had a very specific shade of blue in mind and had conceded my defeat in its acquisition until the shade of my dreams jumped out at me and slapped me from the comfort of its display. I bought the...

    Compare to OPI

I still polish my own, natural nails by myself :-) unlike women in my group. So I buy nail polish and keep them and use them multiple times, unlike those who go to salons. I've been buying OPI for 20 years when a bottle was around $6, and switched to ORLY when I found them on sale because paying fo...

    Coral Crush

Coral Crush looks like a very fine glitter polish with an almost holographic reflect and has a coral pink base. It takes forever to dry! If you paint on several layers for more opacity you really need to let every layer dry as much as possible before painting on another. I saw on tiktok that this seemed to be like the closest dupe of the Warden's special nail polish from the movie Holes which is why I purchased it but unfortunately it doesn't look like the nail polish the Warden already has on her nails in the movie. I believe she has a completely different polish on her nails which to me looks very close to O.P.I. CosMicdrop Nail Lacquer. The "special nail polish" infused with the rattlesnake venom I personally believe it's more of a topper she uses to change a base color. Coral Crush looks like that topper she applies albeit a more opaque version. Can confirm though, Coral Crush looks really cute, dupe or not.

pretty confetti polish, but terrible longevity.

The "Dancing Queen" polish is such a fun glitter & confetti polish. The base coat is a really lovely light purple-to-blue. Even with just one coat, this polish has a good color and decent amount of confetti. With just one coat, the base is a lavender color. With additional coats the base is more blue - I would say it's more of a periwinkle color. Unfortunately, this polish peels off like crazy. Within 24 hours, every single nail was chipped, with 7 nails missing half, or more, of the polish. I'm super bummed by this! Typically glitter polish stays on better than a plain color. Granted, I did not use a base coat, but I really don't think a base coat would have made much of a difference. I am still planning to try this on my toes, except for I'm going to layer it over a light purple OPI polish. Crossing fingers for better results.

    Horrible! Do not buy!

The color is beautiful, but the quality is terrible. This is not "long lasting" as it claims on their website. It applies easily, but it chips immediately. Not sure what I am missing here, but I will not waste my money on the Orly brand again. Quite disappointing!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

Top off your nails with bling

This is fun to add as a topper to your nail polish. With Valentines Day coming I will mix it up with pink and red nails. The confetti is small. Mostly red and white. There are hearts in there too that are a good size to blend in.
