This is not a lotion at all in my opinion. It's a very thin gel like substance. It applies like a serum, so I use it like a serum. This does not hydrate my skin at all. This is a Toner/Essence
I see a few people misled by the word lotion. This is best used as a toner. This works as well as any other toners, but I much prefer this lotion/gel texture compared to most others. It's price point is high for what your getting but if you like Chanel products, this is good for you... otherwise try something else.

I love that this toner is more of a lotion texture. Very refreshing and hydrating while tightening pores. You also don't need to use cotton balls with this product since it's a gel. I love it!!
