This is my 2nd Pat Mcgrath palette after Subversive. I prefer Subversive overall, but I use this palette more for its cool tones. The shimmers are great! Buttery & blend themselves on the eye. I was so excited for this palette but…
I love cool tone palettes so this one seemed right up my alley, but I am truly shocked at how mediocre it is for how much it costs. The mattes are dry, patchy, and crumbly, with a lot of fallout, while the regular shimmers are patchy and remind me of those cheap play makeup palettes in children's to...

This is my 2nd Pat Mcgrath palette after Subversive. I prefer Subversive overall, but I use this palette more for its cool tones. The shimmers are great! Buttery & blend themselves on the eye. Versatile for a night look if you want pigment, but also easy to sheer out if you want that too. I do not think the shimmers are natural-looking on anyone who's warm-toned though, unless you like that vibe. The baked shades are one-of-a-kind in the sense that the blue one is stunning and packs a punch when wet. The others are beautiful too but not unique in color. They are the standard Italian baked gelee formula that I adore. The mattes are OK. They're comparable to my Cbeauty matte shadows in terms of blendability and performance. Better than drugstore and my Jbeauty/Kbeauty shadows. Nothing special. The bad parts: 1. The worst shade in this palette is the black. It also has PFAs in it. I was thinking of repurposing it as paint but I don't think it will work. It is super patchy, dry, kicks-up the most (the rest of the palette isn't bad), ultra pigmented, but doesn't blend. I'm not sure what to do with it. 2. The pinky shade in the top right corner is disappointing. It's somehow the least shimmery of the shimmers in this palette. I have fair light skin and can only get this to show up wet. All in all I love this palette, because I can go every-day or glam with it. Back when this palette was first released, it was revolutionary. I think it's stood the test of time. If you like Pat's formula and cool tones, this is worth it.
Mediocre
The shimmers are nice but I've tried better from other brands. The mattes are crumbly and dry. Legitimately do not understand the hype.
Not sure why honest reviews are being thumbs downed
Truly an embarrassingly bad product for the price. The mattes are dry, like another reviewer mentioned, and the shimmers truly are nothing remarkable in today's market. I think people are letting PMG's legendary status as a MUA influence their opinion.
Can't miss
I was so excited when I saw this palette on the shelf! Such beautiful colors and that blue is just *chefs kiss* I will admit, the price is steep but the blendability and color payoff is worth every cent!
Overrated
The mattes are awful. the shimmers are nothing special
