Q
How do you know what number to pick
Asked by Facie
Official Answer By Black Girl Sunscreen - Brand Engage
SPF 30 is great for daily use and is especially ideal on days when you’re mostly going to be staying at home and may not be receiving much direct sunlight. SPF 45 is more suitable to wear on days when you may only be receiving a modest level of sunlight, such as slightly warmer days. This will help keep your skin in top condition and protect you from burning and skin cancers. We mostly recommend wearing SPF 50 on days when your sun exposure is going to be extremely high, such as afternoons on the beach. i hope this helps. Was this answer helpful to you

Perfect for Acne-Prone Skin

I have combination, blemish-prone skin and use a variety of creams and serums to help fade dark spots left by healed acne scars on my back, chest, and face. However, I neglected using sunscreen on my face for decades, because the formulas were usually too heavy, caused breakouts, and irritated my ey...

Broke me out!

I really wanted to like the product. When I was using the product I started noticing cystic acne on my chin and jaw. I though it was hormonal, but I researched and saw that this sunscreen had the potential to clog skin which it did to me. Also very greasy, my face looked very oily throughout the day...

I have really sensitive skin

Submitted 2 months ago

By C the Goddess

From Los Angeles

I have really sensitive skin and can not use most chemical sunscreen brands. I always do a few spot test and wait 48 hours before saying there was no reaction. I dab a little in various places on my body because your skin on your legs may be more sensitive than the skin on your arms. I check back periodically, and then at the end of the day shower and continue to monitor. Most of the times product will irritate my skin between 10 minutes to an hour later. I was surprised when this product made it past the one hour mark. And even more so after the full 48 hours passed. After the 48 hours passed without incident, I used the product as normal on my body and was surprised to see the added glow that came with it. No white cast, just my skin with a "I am covered in layers of moisturizer", without feeling heavy or greasey look. I do not ever use sunscreen that says for face and body on my face. I personally perfer a sunscreen that is made for the skin on my face. So, I cannot speak to how it performs on the face. TLDR: 1. Do spot tests for 24 -48 hours if you have sensitive skin before doing full application 2. Use facial sunscren for your face, ears and neck 3. Gives skin a pretty glow with zero white cast

Smells delicious

The vanilla scent smells delicious. Fragrance is not listed in the ingredients, but flavor is. I did a test spot because sometimes my skin will allow things, other times it wont. The scented version did irritate my skin a few hours later where my skin was sensitive, but the places that my skin isn't, i had no problems. I do recommend this product to any vanilla loving ladies out there that do not have sensitive skin.

I'm just confused on why are y'all putting scented products on your face? This should be for the body, especially if you're very sensitive to fragrance I think it's very much common sense to not put this on your face but since it's vanilla scented it is the best on the body. Please use the original sunscreen for your face.
