Relieve dry, rough, callused hands with Moisturizing Hand Gloves by Earth Therapeutics.
Apply your favorite hand lotion--then slip on the hand gloves. Keep the gloves on overnight after applying lotion. For best results, use with Earth Therapeutics lotion.
It takes a couple nights to get used to wearing gloves while you sleep but once you do they're no big deal. These gloves are plenty big and have enough room at the tip so when my nails are long they don't poke through. Eventually of course they will wear out - my current pair has a couple little holes so I need to replace them but they still work.
REASON FOR TITLE;
I've only had and used the gloves for about a week and a half.
REASON FOR RATING;
I sought out these gloves due to excessive hand washing, dry air, and use of hospital grade chemicals at work. My hands are so chapped, cracked and painful that extra TLC was in order. My first pair of Earth Therapeutics came from another store that only had the aloe infused version, which I had to return due to defects.
Though I wish these were aloe infused as the first ones I bought, that you don't have to get a new pair after 20 or so washes is a definite bonus.
If you like to read or play on your phone before bed, you will be happy to know the gloves slightly work on smartphones so you don't have to cut into moisturizing time.
1-size-fits-all as usual irritating - the fingers are too big and the material is too short at the wrists. The first few uses the gloves came off in my sleep, which may not have happened if they were more my size.
Because the gloves are not moisturized, without lotion the gloves do slightly irritate chapped skin. With lotion, your hands don't stay moisturized for more than a few hours.
The material is not breathable, which makes for uncomfortable nights in warm weather or if you are not used to wearing gloves to bed.
In the short time I have had these gloves, I can't completely attest to how well they are helping my dry, chapped and painful skin. I can say I have noticed a SMALL improvement in the pain and dry skin areas, and despite the cons I listed, until I come across a better pair I am satisfied with this product.
Gets the job done...
My hands are super dry and I was hoping these would help them. They have not helped at all
We have bought several pairs of these gloves. Our mom has dementia and is a scratcher. These gloves have prevented her from causing wounds on her skin. They are soft. When they wear out, we buy another pair. We've had doctors ask where we got them.
I understand these gloves are supposed to be used with moisturizer, but I'm not really sure what the point of them is at all. I didn't experience any enhancement with the gloves over just using the moisturizer. The gloves don't seem to keep moisture in. They don't really seem to do anything. It would be nice if they could at least have a finger tip that allowed you to wear the gloves and use and electronic device at the same time.
