- Start by cleansing with a non-oily cleanser. Avoid using eye cream if possible. If you prefer to use eye cream, allow the product to fully absorb and dry.
- Shake the tube and squeeze out a pea-size amount on the top of the hand.
- Using fingertips or a clean, dry makeup brush, pick up a tiny amount of the product and apply onto a completely dry eye area for best results.
- Using upward strokes, spread a thin layer of the gel onto the under-eye area, crow's feet, "11" lines between the brows, and beneath and above the brow bone (but not on the moveable eyelid).
- Let the product dry for approximately 5 minutes while remaining expressionless. Do not squint or smile.
- If you notice any white residue, moisten a cotton swab (or your fingertip) and remove excess by gently patting the edges.
- Once the product is completely dry, you are good to go! You can gently pat on makeup, such as eyeshadow, under-eye concealer or powder. To prolong the effects of Instant FIRMx Eye, avoid water-based makeup.

Why does it leave white residue under my eyes?

If this is the case, remove Instant FIRMx® Eye and try to apply thinner. If you still see a little white residue, you can pat away by moistening your fingertip or a cotton swab. You can also conceal the whiteness by gently dabbing on powder makeup or oil-based foundation. This stuff is pure magic. It works, and it lasts all day. The only downfall: I have to choose between it and concealer. I've heard other reviewers suggest mixing it with concealer, but I haven't managed to make that work for me. If PTR ever comes out with a product that combines the two - Firmx Eye ...

I was so excited to get this product. However, the magic undoes itself if you add anything on top of it. Moisturizer, eye cream, foundation, concealer, it brings the puffiness all back. too pricey considering it leaves white flakes
my mom had this same type of product by a different company in the early 2000s. it didnt become a hit because it left white flakes where you applied it. well, this one does the same. you end up removing the majority of the product trying to get the dried up white flakes off. its way overpriced considering its a gimmick that isnt very practical.

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] I like this eye tightener. I have dry under eye area that tends to wrinkles and I am always looking for more hydration. The formula is great. It is easy to store and to take with you everywhere you go. I use it daily and I can see the results. My under eyes appear brightened, hydrated, healthy looking and firm.
I would not buy this product again. Leaves a white residue.

The product did get rid of the bags. It's just leaves white residue. I used a pea size amount or less. I tried it 4 times. As soon as you wipe off the residue you see the bags again. I tried it on top of makeup also. Same results.
