OLAPLEX The Mini Essentials Hair Set

I have only ever tried Olaplex No. 3 before (because to be honest, Olaplex is $$$), so I was really excited to grab this mini set and try out more of their stuff without fully committing. As someone with straight black East Asian hair, I was not sure how well these would work for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. My hair felt softer and looked shinier after just a couple of uses. It is also super convenient for travel. Honestly, I think this set is the perfect way to test out what works before splurging on the full sizes. It's a great way to try multiple Olaplex staples without committing to full sizes. Definitely worth it for both travel and testing out the line! My favorites are No.6 and No.7 — the combo leaves my hair looking so shiny, smooth, and frizz-free, with a healthy finish that lasts all day.

I started with 3 to repair damage. This is a weekly treatment to smooth and repair your hair. Then shampoos and condition with 4/5. (These are amazing in their own!) After my shower I added a bit of 9 on my hair while it was still wet. Before blow drying i mixed 6/7 to help with frizz, protect from heat and add a big boost of shine. Then i dried with a round brush. My hair was instantly smoother, shinier and silkier after only 1 use. My hair felt like I just walked out of a salon. I recommend this for anyone with stressed or damaged hair.

I was very excited to try this kit. I love trying out new hair products and was so happy to get this Olaplex kit . Unfortunately, this did not perform like I hoped. I expected my hair to be much more manageable and conditioned after 7days of using the products. I used it exactly as directed and was expecting to have my hair in much better condition. But that wasn't the case for me . After using it I noticed the products were making my hair very thin and I felt like I had half the hair that I had before I started.
