Main takeaway: "My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined." If a lip product needs this much work it isn't worth it. The packaging is so beautiful that I want to keep it around but to collect dust? I have so many feelings about this product. See below. Color: I wanted this to be it so... bad but it's streaky??? horrible. So sad. Not to mention confusing. The color is described as a "soft pink" but appears in pictures to be more mauve. Interestingly, when compared to haus labs' Rosewood Shine, the bottles appear to be very similar in color but the outcome is very different. I thought this color (Moth Orchid) would be a lighter version of Rosewood Shine. Picture attached for reference. Scent: smells like my too faced chocolate palette. It's an artificial sweet scent. I'm pretty indifferent to the scent, but I know this can be important to some. Wearability: circling back to "it's streaky" the product is a very thin formula, not what I am used to with a matte liquid lipstick. If applied thin it leaves nearly no feel but I feel like it needs a few layers to get the color pay off. This then caused the product to flake off in little bits that got stuck in my teeth, which we love. Also something to note, it is very, sink-into-every-little-crack-and-make-your-lips-look-super-wrinkly, as far as finishes go. If your lips are as smooth as Barbie's then this may be for you! Water/transfer proof: Absolutely! Stress tested with product on the back of my hand. Light rubbing did not move product, running it under the faucet did nothing, micellar water took some work but did eventually remove it. As with most products like this an oil based cleaner removed it like it was nothing. If you're eating it will wear off in the center. I hate products like this because reapplication becomes very tricky, if you aren't carrying around an oil based makeup remove it is next to impossible to rub off if you decide to remove it on the go. And applying it over the product that stayed makes it extra chunky. This is the first product I have received and thought, I'm so glad I did not pay for this. Would not recommend this color and it does not make me want to try other colors.
