Burned my skin after exposed to UV

This sunscreen applied nicely, but after two consecutive mornings applying it, a red, raw, itchy, burny rash appeared on my neck, chin, and eyelids. It gave me a chemical burn and destroyed my barrier. I didnt know if it was an allergic reaction as I have no known allergies, so I went to the dermatologist and had to use a steroid cream to clear it. It was likely a photoallergic reaction from the chemical in the sunscreen.

My Favorite SPF 30 Sunscreen Hands Down

I don't review much, but this one deserves it. I've tried probably 30-40 kinds of sunscreen via samples and full-blown purchases. Everyone's sunscreen preferences are different, but this one is my absolute Holy Grail. So far I've gone through four tubes, and I've gotten two family members to start using it. To be fair, I can't quite tell if it has done *most* of the heavy lifting for my post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation as I use a lot of other actives (like forms of retinol, vitamin C, etc), but I used to have horrible cystic acne outbreaks for years (stopped months ago due to nutritional changes), and the dark spots are shockingly barely noticeable -- I'm POSITIVE this has helped amongst other factors because I used to end up with scabs from cystic acne heads that were so large and painful, I was convinced they'd ruin my skin forever. This also has niacinamide at 10% and the Melasyl-- I know this product has been a crucial component to get my skin tone even again. Keep in mind, it's a long-term game. Results don't happen overnight. Best aspect about this sunscreen? It's application. The texture is smooth, perfect balance between viscous liquid gel and an ultra light, easily-blended moisturizer. NOT heavy nor thick. I don't "feel" it on my skin. I've used it under make-up of course, but it's actually been on non-make-up days that I've had several coworkers comment on my skin being "glowing" when just wearing this sunscreen alone (almost acting like a primer/face base). It seriously gives your face a subtle glow that's not from shimmer or mica. Also has a subtle scent I like very much (exact same scent as La Roche Posay's Mela B3 serum which I've just tried for first time). I've run out and been forcing myself to use other sunscreens I've purchased or free samples I've received... tried everything from mineral sunscreens, K-beauty brands, Supergoop, Shieseido ($), Naked Sundays, Kinship, Lancome, Vacation, Elf, Live Tinted, Coola... and frankly this is the best one for an SPF-30 rated sunscreen for me above them all. Sometimes I do need SPF 50 for summer days so I do have to switch it out due to UV index, but this is my first choice undoubtedly when the SPF 30 sun protection is enough.
