Position the brush horizontally, with one of the reservoirs facing your lashes, as close to the root as possible.

This mascara has been fabulous to use! No smudging!!! I often have problems with mascara smudging beneath my eyes, but this doesn't. Also it glides on very smoothly.
For sensitive eyes
I have a lot if issues wuth mascara making my eyes itchy. This is a great mascara for sensitive eyes. I tried about 20 mascaras before i found this one. Ive worn it for several months now and no allergic reaction!

Brush too thick

Basically the same as everybody else complaining about the size of the brush. Comes out way too gloppy to the point I have to wipe the excess off on a tissue. If the other mascaras had a normal brush, I'd try it, but they don't so BM is off my list for mascara brands.
