Seems silly but super useful
I felt very dumb buying this, plus i didn't realize how much it was until i checked out. But once i started using it, absolutely no regrets! I have small very hooded eyes and wearing mascara has always sucked for me. I was to a point where i couldn't wear anything except thick eyeliner when i wore m...

Nothing special
I loved the idea behind this tool, however I feel like it prevents me from being able to actually apply my mascara normally. I'd rather just wipe off any mascara that gets on my upper or lower lids.

Like but wanted to love

Love that this tool helps my mascara not get on my under eyes. But i hate the material. All my powders in my makeup bag stick to it and make it very messy. Wish the handle was more of makeup brush handle material.

This makes it so much easier to apply mascara on the top and bottom lashes on myself and my clients !
It was ok

It didn't seem to work well for me, just seemed like an extra step that wasn't really necessary.

Took a minute but now no more black floated on my lid.
Must have tool for makeup artists!

This is perfect for makeup artists and the struggle to throughly lengthen and add volume to clients lashes without getting mascara on their skin! The tool even has ridges to separate the lashes

I've seen these everywhere and I'm still not quite sure how they work. I'm visually impaired- blind in my right eye. I have a tendency to stab myself with my mascara wand when I have a dizzy spell or get too close to the mirror. (I also have left third cranial nerve palsy, which means my eyes are completely dilated and don't move all the way.) Could someone help me with this please?

- Verified Reply - Staff ExpertThis tool is used to help avoid getting mascara on your skin. You hold the tool against your skin underneath you bottom lashes when you apply mascara, so the extra mascara will go onto the guard instead of your skin underneath your lashes. It works the same for your upper lashes as well! Was this answer helpful to you

How exactly does one use the "Ulta beauty Mascara Guard". I'm giving it as a gift but not sure how easy to use and effective it is.

- Verified Reply - Staff ExpertSimply hold the tool so the wide end of the tool is underneath (behind) your lower lashes, or above (behind) your upper lashes when applying mascara. The wide end of the tool will act as a barrier so the mascara does not get on your skin behind your lashes. Was this answer helpful to you
