I've seen these everywhere and I'm still not quite sure how they work. I'm visually impaired- blind in my right eye. I have a tendency to stab myself with my mascara wand when I have a dizzy spell or get too close to the mirror. (I also have left third cranial nerve palsy, which means my eyes are completely dilated and don't move all the way.) Could someone help me with this please?

- Verified Reply - Staff ExpertThis tool is used to help avoid getting mascara on your skin. You hold the tool against your skin underneath you bottom lashes when you apply mascara, so the extra mascara will go onto the guard instead of your skin underneath your lashes. - Verified Reply - Staff ExpertSimply hold the tool so the wide end of the tool is underneath (behind) your lower lashes, or above (behind) your upper lashes when applying mascara. The wide end of the tool will act as a barrier so the mascara does not get on your skin behind your lashes.Was this answer helpful to you

Nothing special
I loved the idea behind this tool, however I feel like it prevents me from being able to actually apply my mascara normally. I'd rather just wipe off any mascara that gets on my upper or lower lids.

It's ok
It's kind of awkward to use. Don't use if you're in a rush! I wash between eye use, and sometimes takes a bit to wash mascara out of the grooves. I got this cheap with discount, otherwise I would return. Probably better options out there.
Disappointing
Observed one being used during a make up session and thought what a great idea. However, when using myself, found it not that useful. Had better results using nothing.

Didn't Know This Was a Thing!

I didn't even know these were a thing, but I'm so happy I spied them! I have small, hooded eyes, and this saves me from having to clean up mascara on my skin every time I wear makeup. Love it.
Use it as an eyeshadow guide!
I didn't get this for lashes/mascara. I got this to make a crisp line for my eyeshadow. It works perfectly for my eyeshape and I don't have to bother with tape. Well worth the purchase for me.
