Apply one swipe of the doe-foot applicator directly to lips for full gloss coverage and immediate color. For a stain-only finish, allow the gloss to set for 10 minutes, then wipe off. Can be worn alone or over a lip liner for a defined look.

Very hydrating, super pigmented!
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. This gloss is super pigmented. It definitely has a creamy serum like texture. It is not sticky or gooey. You get a ton of color with just one swipe and it smells a little bit like coconut. I put it over my dry lips with nothing else ...

Great as a very pigmented gloss, not a stain
I have Blush Rush and Drippin in Rose, which are both beautiful colors and very hydrating. This gloss is so pigmented you don't need lip liner. Like any gloss, they will transfer, but they have enough pigment that you can finish your meal before reapplying. They barely stain though. The colors I have are on the darker side, too. So A+ as a gloss, fails as a stain. I still really like this product.
NYX Gloss Stain
This lip stain is almost perfect since it will last you all day, unless you eat and drink. Any time I eat food with this, the lip always comes off and leaves me with a lip liner look. If you use it for only lip liner, it is absolutely perfect. I literally slept without taking it off and it looked the same from when I put it on.

I am OBSESSED with these. All the shine of a gloss, the pigmentation of a true lipstick, and the lasting power of a stain. Gorgeous 😍
THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING
I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. I bought it today and love it. I got esspresso soak. When you first apply its very non sticky. I would say its super shiny at first but then turns to a semi shine. Then as it dries, it stains your lips!! WELL!! I put this on about two hours ago and right now it looks like im wearing dark red lip stick (ive applied twice this evening). My lips dont dried out at all, but i was able to apply chapstick with no transfer. Amazing!!!!
Good choice depending on what you're looking for
When this new "magenta mist" color came out, I was curious to see if this could be a viable drugstore dupe for Fenty's "fuchsia wife" lip stain (my favorite). They look relatively similar when freshly applied, but when you wipe the stain off, NYX's color is a LOT lighter than Fenty's. If you're OK with the lighter color payoff (might be more forgiving for beginners?) or you care more about saving money, I would recommend this product. Also because of the coconut water, NYX's stain smells like coconut, just keep that in mind. (If this looks like a duplicate, it's because I didn't realize I couldn't upload photos when writing a product review on the Ulta app, and the photos are important for showing how the two products compare. Sorry...)
