How have I gone so long without this?

I have just now discovered Clarins lip oil! A small sample was in a 'freebie' bag that was a GWP from a large beauty retailer. The samples always get me! I received a .02 oz sample in the shade 04 Pitaya. I first swatched it on the back of my hand and didn't think much of it. A few minutes later as ...I looked back at all of my new 'lippie' swatches, I noticed that the seemingly clear shade had turned a lovely pinkish color, was glossy as glossy could be, and my skin on my hand was super plump where the swatch was. I then proceeded to apply some to my bare lips, and I am so glad I did! This oil lasts a long time, visibly moisturizes (plumps right to the vermillion border without any discomfort- which makes me think that the plumping is from the gobs of moisture versus a chemical plumper), and has a great, light scent that I've already become addicted to! The scent is somewhere between a fruity and floral smell, but there is no taste, which I appreciate... unless it's mint! I checked the product applied on my lips and noticed that it was pinker than I thought a nearly clear product could be. I discovered through a deep dive on the web that shade 04 has a ph color additive that will allow the seemingly clear-looking oil to deepen. Amazing! I felt like I was winning on hydration, winning on feel, and also winning on an even more beautiful shade than I initially imagined. I went to bed with a good glob on my lips after I finished my PM skincare routine, and woke to hydrated, comfortable, more pillowy, deeper- than- my- normal- pink- pinkish toned lips. This lip oil is the first Clarins product I've tried, and I needed to come here to order a couple more shades to try, as well as a full-sized 04. I know I'm going to need it! I'm halfway through my original sample in just 2 days and can not wait to try other shades! I'm thankful for being able to add a couple of samples of other Clarins products as well! It's important to note that I've never even given this product a second look before until that little sample came to me from another retailer. I do not use beauty social media, and I'm glad that my own first impression was my first hype-up! I'm truly hoping this detailed review will help others decide if this is the product for them. Please note though: the applicator that is contained within my sample of this lip oil appears to be different from the applicator contained within the full-size lip oil.
