2nd review - found a use for this primer stick

I wrote the other review for L.A Girl Let's Chill Hydrating Primer Stick, and am updating it. While the intended use is as a primer, which it's too crumbly for, I think it's worth trying overtop finished makeup. I had some dehydrated, dry patches that my makeup looked cakey over (healing acne etc) and for whatever reason I grabbed this primer and applied it ON TOP. Not only did it not remove any makeup and felt super refreshing 😌, but it took care of the dry patchy cakey look! I have since been swiping this over my finished makeup either to hydrate and smooth those dry patches and get a hydrated look which fixes my makeup, or over my cheeks for added hydration and shine. I'm enjoying it now and it doesn't crumble or break as much when applied over makeup. Not a good primer but pretty good to hydrate and set trouble areas after my makeup is finished and dry. Thought I'd mention it so if you bought this and hated it you can try it this way. I run it over the backs of my hands and cuticles too and it feels great in this hot weather.

First I love the stick application, love the light pink jelly look of the product before use, easy to hold, portable, and does have a slight cooling effect (that wears off in seconds) and feels refreshing. On the downside it breaks off into small chunks of jelly that I can't just blend or smooth over my skin and I have to just wipe it off. The first time I used it it was smooth but didn't feel THAT hydrating or seem to help my makeup application or longevity, and the second and third times it was crumbling right off the stick. Use very gently and don't skip a hydrating serum or spray:/ I'll keep trying it but so far I haven't found a way to love it in my routine. Might just roll over the tops my hands. More cooling: Try Ulta's cool and glow primer which is an underrated icy white really blendable glowy primer that really feels cool for a long time. It's excellent for pale and light cool toned skin in summer! And Wet n Wild cooling stick (forget the exact name) which is another stick balm that's lovely under my sensitive eyes and truly cooling.
