Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male Le Parfum

[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] "Le Male" Le Parfum. I think the vanilla and sandalwood with Tonka bean mixture smells good. I like that it is intense and lasts a long time. The other notes of this make it have a woodsy scent. I would wear this on a night out, and good for fall winter season.

I received this product in exchange for my honest review. Jean Paul gaultier is easily one of my favourite fragrances right now. It smells smooth, warm, and a little sweet, but still masculine and classy. The vanilla and cardamom really stands out to me, And it last all day on my skin. I always get compliments when I wear it, especially at night. It has that confidence, dressed a vibe without being too strong. Definitely, I'll go to my collection.

The opening is great! It's got that vanilla and iris note that I really love but shortly after applying it it didn't project well at all and became a skin scent real quick. I'd say it's a good close encounter date night scent but that's it.

This feels like a more dressed up, smoother brother of the original Le Male. The opening is warm and slightly sweet, with cardamom and a bit of that familiar Le Male vibe underneath. It skips the loud minty blast and goes straight into a richer, spicier territory that feels more evening and a little more grown. As it develops, the lavender and Iris slide in with vanilla and tonka, so you get a creamy, slightly powdery sweetness over a woody base. It still smells like a clubbing style designer, but upgraded, cleaner, and less juvenile. On my skin it reads as sweet, slightly pottery, vanilla lavender woods with a soft resin vibe underneath. Definitely on the sexy, crowd pleasing side, but not unique if you already own a lot of modern sweet ambers. Performance is strong. Even from a smaller sample, I was getting loud projection for the first few hours in good longevity. After that this is not a "one spray and hope" situation, so easy to overspray if you are indoors or in warm weather. It fits best for nights out, date nights, cooler weather, or when you want that sweet, confident, designer cloud around you. I only had a sample to test from, so this is an early impression. With a full bottle and more wears in different situations and seasons, I would be able to give a more complete and detailed review of how it behaves overtime.

I usually dislike iris in perfumes since it gives me a feminine lipstick vibe. Lavender gives me too much of after shave feeling and gives me a headache. However, the lavender, iris and cardamom get together to create an immensely sexy fragrance. Has the right amount of darkened to be worn as an evening scent but can also be worn to the office. The projection is just right making people come a bit closer to smell the amazing fragrance. For the price it is being sold at, this fragrance is an insane deal.
