After researching, Clinique (and parent company, Estee Lauder) are NOT considered cruelty-free due to selling products in China where animal testing is required. Does Clinique still sell products in China where animal testing is required?

It really does not give much help to use this primer. I had another before that you to really make your lashes look full, this one barely does anything. Not worth it.

I just love this product, came across it when I bought a mascara duo and I can't imagine putting mascara on without the primer. I am 69 years old, so my lashes aren't as thick as they used to be, but this fixes that problem. I have received so many compliments on my makeup since I started using. It does take a little more effort/time to make my eyes up but so worth it. One thing I've read in the comments is that it clumps.. when you first apply it your lashes have a little "white" where you've applied it.. just ignore it and separate your lashes as best you can - the white disappears when it dries and you are left with a fabulous base that takes very little mascara to see the effect. The only criticism I have is that it is harder to remove.. I use the Clinique makeup remover (blue bottle) but it takes a few swipes to remove it. It makes your mascara kind of waterproof - it stays put and doesn't run so maybe I need to use a waterproof makeup remover??
