I was hopeful for this clip. I'll start by saying is so cute, stylish and love the low impact it has. It's not this huge block sticking out of the back of your head. Love that it sits so close to the hair. Only problem is it's not for long AND thick hair. So I really struggle to open it wide enough ...

I have fine, thin hair and honestly get kind of embarrassed and insecure that I am able to use the small claw clips to hold ALL of my hair up.... so, the size of these Loop Claw Clips gives me this sense of security that I CAN use larger size clips to hold my hair up, haha! Plus, they actually stay in place and the loop detail is ADORABLE! I use these almost every day, and need to get more! I wish they came in more colors and cool styles like the regular claw clips do! These clips are just the most PERFECT full size yet are lightweight enough that I don't feel like I'm carrying a small child on the crown of my head! Speaking of children, these Loop Claw Clips remind me of what would happen if a full-sized traditional claw clip and a banana clip had a baby - you get the lightness and ease of a banana clip AND the security and holding power of a regular claw clip mixed into one PERFECT CLIP!

I was hoping these large clips would hold a twist updo, but with very thick long hair, that was too ambitious. These do a much better job holding hair half up in a stylish way and would probably work well for those with fine/less hair to hold.
