Summary
Drunk Elephant's Laini Latherless Conditioning Co-Cleanser nourishes the hair without stripping vital protective oils.
Benefits
- Moisturizes hair without stripping away vital protective oils
- Softens, detangles, fights frizz, and improves manageability
- Supports the naturally acidic balance of both hair and scalp
Key Ingredients
- Rose Hip Fruit Oil: Derived from the seeds of the rose hip fruit, it's loaded with fatty acids and naturally high in vitamin E, making it a deeply nourishing oil for hair and skin.
- Sacha Inchi Seed Oil: Used for its potential to moisturize and soothe irritated skin due to its high concentration of antioxidant polyphenols, omega 6 (aka linoleic) & omega 3 (linolenic) fatty acids. In hair care, sacha inchi oil adds shine & helps offset the damage done by heat styling.
Formulated Without
- Made without the Suspicious 6 - the six ingredients Drunk Elephant believes are at the root of almost every skin issue (Essential oils, Silicones, Chemical sunscreens, SLS, Fragrances + dyes, and Drying alcohols)

Apply Laini Latherless to wet hair and massage for 1-2 minutes, making sure you saturate hair and cleanse your scalp, too. Rinse thoroughly for a full minute. Follow with Cocomino Conditioner, depending on your hair's needs. Most people will find there is no need to follow Laini Latherless with a separate conditioner - Drunk Elephant recommends trying it without to see how your hair responds.
Tips:
1.Think of Laini Latherless like E-Rase for your hair - it's a super-gentle, moisturizing refresh in between the times your hair needs a deeper shampoo cleanse.
2.Rinse thoroughly for a full minute! Use more water than you think you need and massage it out. Laini Latherless can't be rushed.
How to Recycle:
Step 1: Unscrew the pump.
Step 2: Pop off the shoulders.
Step 3: Recycle the shoulders + white flask.

Hi! Is the Laini Latherless suitable as someone's only "shampoo"? I see references to using it in between lathering shampoo days (I guess for people who cleanse often? I only cleanse 1-2 times per week, my hair is pretty dry and so is my climate), but also references to it cleansing the hair and scalp- Is there any problem with using the latherless shampoo exclusively? Is it heavy or something in a way where hair will fall our and pores will clog or something else that makes it unsuitable for long term exclusive use? Thanks!

Love this Co-Cleanser
I am an older... well, more mature woman and as such my hair has been changing recently. Naturally dry wavy blonde hair now getting a darker and just a few greys. I'm also getting sensitive skin a lot. Very rashy around my neck so I'm avoiding all the bad things including essential oils which never ...

Outstanding hair wash

I've been using this for a bit now and am always amazed at how beautiful my hair feels afterwards. I have very long, thick curly/wavy hair. I used to use the biggest blob of conditioner just to be able to finger comb the conditioner through my hair. This allows me to finger comb while I'm shampooing. My hair has never felt so clean and soft.

at first my hair was being a bit weighed down, surprising because I've got a history of co-washing. But after a couple weeks, my hair and scalp are the happiest they've ever been. Very light refreshing scent that doesn't stay on hair. I have dry hair & scalp. I do usually add a little leave-in moisture on ends but it is the only shampoo that I can go without a conditioner. I love it despite my years of trying to stop single-use plastic. It's also lasting a long time — I only wash a few times per week, but my child played with the pump and wasted at least a couple of washes' worth, so price-wise it's good bang for buck.
Incredible!

Deepest thanks to the maker of this luxury shampoo! ..My battle with hair care is SO lengthy.. I cannot convey the doubt I had when initially coming across this co-cleanser. We have a farm. Between the constant barn dust, Diatomaceous Earth, animal grooming, grounds mowing, gardening, cleaning the entire environments & bird enclosures MY HAIR WAS AN ABSOLUTE MESS! I have fine, long, curly/wavy 'mature' hair. I thought the only solution was the pricey hair dressers' treatments. I cannot stand waisting time at the salon (or money). THIS is a remarkable solution! I don't even use conditioner.. Just astounds me!! My hair looked and felt like a nest of hay. I was hesitant to even use the shampoo when it arrived as it reminded me of bacon grease. I couldn't fathom putting it on my head & using as a shampoo & textures are a big deal to me. I bit down and did it. I don't know what kind of research this takes but I've now been using this for months and I'M BEYOND GRATEFUL. Combs right through afterward. What a shift in my hair care. LOVE YA for this answer to my hair dilemmas!
great for dry wavy hair
After a couple of uses my hair is less dry and softer and my scalp no longer has any itchy spots. At first it was flattening my curls & waves, but they've bounced back after ~3 weeks of using a couple times per week. Those who are finding it no good are probably not rinsing it thoroughly enough. You do have to rinse longer and a little more vigorously than a standard foaming shampoo. I massage it in well, then the same again while rinsing. I do usually add a light amount of leave-in conditioner bar. My hair stays happy for the day or two I skip washing, but since it's completely non-drying I am washing more frequently than I had been with previous supposedly hydrating shampoos. Really the best hair cleanser I've used in my 5 decades. Using it on my kid too so he can skip the conditioner step, since his hair is not bleached like mine.

Really like this co-wash. Have been using bars for the past few years but they don't work well as co-washes as they invariably buildup. This is great and I only need a little leave-in conditioner afterwards so can skip the in-shower conditioner and no buildup so my super dry hair doesn't turn into straw sticks on days 2-3. That said, before this I had wavy outer layer and S-curly underneath which is now just overall slightly wavy. Had hoped this would help encourage the curl. Still giving it a shot to see if there's a product combo that will work. The best part of this wash was I had a super itchy spot that it reduced after first, then completely eliminated after 2 uses. That is why I'm trying to stick it out. my fine thin curly-haired sister is having the same issue with her curls being flattened.
