Not what I was looking for
The packaging of this Velvet lipstick is stylish, looks luxurious, the color of the lipstick was nice too - cool dark brown, without an orange undertone (Bread Winn'r shade). Love it!
I absolutely love this lipstick!! the formula is great!! one small issue is that the stopper easily pops out randomly. I don't understand the other reviews complaining about it transferring and becoming messy when eating. Because first of all this product doesn't claim to be transfer proof. it says velvet in the name so obviously it's not gonna stay put. 2 all you have to do is wipe of the lipstick before eating to avoid it smudging. Such an easy solution to the problem.
Fenty Velvet Lipstick - NBIC
I received this product (brand new) as a early birthday present and immediately when I open it, it had a fishy smell. I did do a swatch on my forehand and the shade is beautiful. However because of the smell and the color transfer, this lipstick was a absolute no for me and I love all things Fenty.

I wanted to love this product so bad. it feels so comfortable on the lips and the color payoff is amazing. the problem is that is bleeds off your lips onto your face, especially when you eat. I hope they reformulate this product.
Great product, MESSY packaging
Honestly, my favorite formulation; smooth, comfortable, dries down quickly, and keeps my lips pigmented for longer than any of my other longwear lippies. BUT — the packaging is awful. No matter how meticulously I clear and clean off the exterior, and tightly twist close the wand, some product still manages to seep through/smear out (I've also cleaned the entire innner wand twice). For this reason, I no longer carry the wand with me, but have instead placed generous dabs into a compartmentalized compact, so I can apply on the go with a retractable lip brush.
