The Juvia's Place I AM MAGIC formula equates to lightweight, lasting coverage for all day wearability. It has a velvety finish that never looks cakey.

I first saw your palettes in Ulta and was struck by the use of a historical beauty like Nefertiti, but I'm a white woman and thought the colors may be too bold for me so I passed it by. But then I saw a NikkiTutorials video in which she talked about your line being a full coverage foundation that she thought exceeded the brand I was currently using (Tarte). So when you had a 50% off sale I decided to try. I was hesitant because I'm very pale and I'm 45, so full coverage gets very dry and cakey on me. I was SHOCKED to see how moisturizing and blendable the formula was, the concealer went on so smoothly - there was no issues with thickness or cracking. I never seen coverage so smooth before, it emboldened me to try your powder, (which is a no-no for older women because it dries the skin) - but because your product was so moisturizing the powder simply lightly set - no caking, no clumps - it went solid for 6 hours! I haven't been able to do my make up that flawlessly in ten years (when my skin was younger). I fell so in LOVE with it that I have now bought foundation for two of my friends. Any woman reading this scared to try - GO FOR IT, totally worth the money. You don't see creamy strong formulas like this at the drug store. My pic below - again, I'm 45 - I DO have wrinkles, this formula is so rich it actually managed to conceal my crows feet so only ONE wrinkle was visible after application (a deep one by my eyebrow). I ran to try it on my Mom (who is in her 80s and from Paris, she only uses Chanel Lumiere), she commented that Juvia gave just as much coverage, for so much less of a price. Make a luminescent version, and my mom will buy a bathtub full, Chi Chi!
The finish of this foundation is gorgeous and covers 95% of my hyperpigmentation. As someone who struggles to hide dark marks left by acne, even with regular and color correcting concealers, I'm super happy with the coverage. It looks beautiful on the skin, not cakey or heavy at all. My issue is that the color descriptions didn't end up being super accurate and I was unable to find a great match. I purchased Vienna, Maricao, and Bali since I am someone with fair, neutral to warm skin and figured it I would be better off having a few shades to test. Maricao ended up being a little more peachy than neutral, but my closest match. Vienna is quite a bit darker with more of a rosy hue, but would probably work if I got more tan. Bali, though supposed to be lighter than Maricao and neutral, is very yellow and slightly darker than expected. I think I can mix Maricao and Bali to get a better shade match, but I'll likely look at getting the two lightest shades if they go on sale again. Pictured left to right: Vienna, Maricao, Bali

Best coverage I've ever gotten from a foundation. Im so happy with how it makes covers by dark spots. It makes me look flawless and you can't bet a foundation coverage like that! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

this foundation has amazing full coverage & it's super pretty on the skin!! it's definitely a matte finish & is pretty heavy so if you're looking for something lightweight this is definitely not the product. this is my go to special occasion foundation & it lasts allll day!

It feels great on my face and inexpensive.

This foundation has been a PERFECT MATCH for my skin tone! As a WOC, it's so hard to find the perfect shade of foundation without mixing colors. I've been using Kampala since it came out and I LOVE that it's full coverage; I have a lot of skin discoloration and hyperpigmentation from acne scars and this foundation makes my face look flawless. However, it does have a few qualms; first off, if you're an oily skin girl like me, proceed with caution. This foundation looks like an oil slick after 8 hours with primer and setting spray. Also, Kampala has been out of stock for months!!!! I ran out of foundation and haven't been able to purchase it again because Ulta and Juvia's Place are out of stock. So the search continues for a full coverage foundation that's easily accessible and that's a perfect match.

Super high coverage you'll look like a doll only down side is that it's a little matte/drying so it's best for normal to oily skin.

I absolutely love it I have been using this for the past year and will not switch

I have been searching for a full coverage foundation that's not oily and this is amazing! And I'm a light to medium skin and it matches perfectly!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this foundation. It makes my way less than perfect skin look flawless! People compliment me saying I have pretty skin when wearing it. However, I really don't. Ha! It covers my age spots & blemishes without having that caked on look. It doesn't take much at all either! A little goes a long way! Highly recommend!

i tried isla cause it was the only fair shade with a cool undertone. even if it's neutral cool leaning, that can work for me. it's super yellow. the formula seems great, but there's no shade option for fair, cool skin so it doesn't matter. my search for a full coverage foundation continues.

Its full coverage without being cakey, large shade range, cruelty free, and you don't need a lot. My skin is pretty normal sometimes on the oily side and this did a good job of staying on my face all day. After an 8 hr shift this barely rubbed off om my nose!

I love this foundation. I wish I choose the right color, because it is a little bit dark on me. But overall, it's great

A little of this goes a long long way. I've been using Estée Lauder double wear for 20 years. I now work in an office and see a total of 5 ppl a day so I tried this as a cheaper alternative and I found it very similar to what I am use to after finding my correct shade.

If you have combo to dry skin (or are over 30 like me), this is probably a no. This foundation taught me that I just don't like matte, full-coverage foundation. I am a HUGE fan of Juvia's Place (bring back the Shade Sticks, ULTA!—I've been using those as foundation for years). Tried this after I fell in love with the Shade Sticks. Could NOT get a color match to the Shade Stick Marrakesh, perhaps they best matched foundation shade for my skin tone I've ever found. This was just... no for me. If you have discoloration, acne, and other skin problems or you want a MASK of matte foundation, this is for you.

My holy grail foundation. Every time I finish a bottle and want to try a high end foundation, I end up hating it and returning and coming back to this! The secret is to apply this with a damp beauty blender. It makes your skin look like velvet. I have oily skin but have still noticed some caking, so here's what I do:
After skincare, I use a blurring primer (mine is Marc Jacobs), then I use a face oil on the areas I notice the foundation cracking: forehead and under eyes. Then I use a dewy setting spray (Anastasia) since it's a matte foundation. After my undereye corrector I dot the foundation on my face and with a beauty blender dampened with a rose water spray I blend it. I use the beauty blender to press Fenty setting powder under my eyes, forehead, and baking areas, then I use my Kosas cloud powder foundation to dust it off and I swear this is the recipe for a perfect looking face and it does NOT look caky even though it sounds like a lot of products. The combination of dewy + mattifying products really balance each other out, and it stays perfect all day with Urban Decay All Nighter.

This foundation is pretty nice. It makes your skin look dewy, it doesn't accentuate texture or pimples and it will stay on quite a while. That being said, it contains Sodium Chloride as an ingredient. After a few days of wearing it, I noticed a bunch of pimples showing up by my mouth/chin area. If you have sensitive or acne prone skin, this ingredient will cause a reaction and you'll be left to deal with the aftermath! Look it up to see more info about salt in skincare products.
If that's not a concern for you, I guess also be aware that it can smear after a few hours of wear. If it didn't cause me to breakout, It would be my go to because it makes your skin look radiant/beautiful.

prep your skin correctly and this product goes on silky and will not settle into your lines. the color match is insanely accurate. i used with lancome setting powder and it blurred my huge pores and completely covered my dark spots and uneven tone. i got so many compliments! i'm obsessed!

I tend to get lengthy on my reviews, but this was my first makeup splurge and I have some feelings. The coverage is impeccable- in fact I prefer using this to cover up blemishes as opposed to concealer, and the different shades are great- I have never been able to find my shade in anything, it's always too yellow or too light on me, but in shade matching for this I actually found out my exact skin tone profile. BUT I wouldn't recommend this for all over wear on dry skin. I am incredibly dry, regardless of how much water I drink or product I use, so it's hard to find flattering complexion products, and this can cling to my texture and dry patches- I have found how it works on me and like the effect it gives now that I know how it fits, but it's more of a special occasion thing when I know I won't be wearing it for long. It doesn't get messy though, but looks good if I don't powder (like I said super dry so I don't get oily and it's not super sticky on me because of my skin type). If you're on the fence, try it out, but just be prepared to have to figure out how to get it to work if you're super dry.

This is a totally full coverage foundation that feels wonderful to wear! Looks flawless but doesn't feel heavy at all and doesn't oxidize or fade over the day. I mix Cairo with a small bit of Giza and the result is a perfect match for me. I am a big fan and will buy it again and again.

Not a bad foundation for the pricepoint, I returned my original and got a shade that is a much better match. The color was perfect, the only thing I didn't like about the product was the after caking/flaking.
I used tarte base tape face primer, elf matte putty face primer, and benefit porefessional face primer to see it maybe it was the primer I was using. I used both blending sponge and foundation brush to see if it was maybe just technique I was using. and I got this same caking/flaking effect every time.

Has anyone noticed the shade range go from dark to light. I just wanted to point that out. I like that since it's usually light to dark. I appreciate little things like that when purchasing from a brand.
