On first use, turn the dial at the bottom of the non-retractable stick---listen for the clicks---until a small amount of product is exposed.
On future uses, click up once for just enough coverage.
Swipe over the top with a concealer brush or glide product directly onto skin.
Use a brush, sponge, or fingertips to blend in.
Click again to build up another layer of coverage---remember, it doesn't go back down, so twist up only what you need.

Excellent IF you know how to use it. Here are my tips.
I'd compare this to the AboutFace Illusionist serum concealer, but in a stick form. The NYX sticks are fantastic and cheaper alternative, but lean more natural-soft matte. I'd use the NYX for acne/dark spots and use the Milk stick for my under eyes. Like AF, this has a thick, hydrating, and gel-like...

Go girl, give us nothing.
Really disappointed in this concealer after seeing all the hype online. This provides virtually no coverage. Even with a color corrector underneath my darkness still showed through. You can't build it up without it pilling on itself. If you don't use setting powder, it will settle into fine lines and flake off. If you do set with powder, it just sorta disappears after 30 minutes. I've used primers, my fingers, brushes, setting powders, color correctors, a little product, a lot of product and the results are always the same: disappointing. It definitely looks like your not wearing concealer but not in the way you want. Save your money!
Wanted to like this concealer
I like the applicator and compact design. Did mot like how it accentuated my aging skin. Too thick.
MEH.
This isnt a bad product, but there are just so many superior options within this price range. This concealer is hydrating, has a great shade range, and a convenient form factor, but the performance and finish is underwhelming. Yes, it creases - more than it should. And it highlights texture like a mutha. For those reasons, I cant say I'd recommend it.
Like AF, this has a thick, hydrating, and gel-like consistency. It looks super natural on the skin and is rarely detectable. I love using this on beach days, no-makeup makeup days, or when I'm running a quick errand. (I have combo skin and live in a humid, tropical climate.) However, these types of formulas are best applied in super-thin layers and will require color correctors if you have dark circles. The first step is to find the shade closest to your skin tone. You will likely have to swatch in person or order at least 2 shades online. If you go too light, it won't look good. Next, make sure your color corrector is 100% DRY and SET before going in with this, or it will pill/smear. I actually use a coral/terracotta matte cream blush (Glossier Plush Blush, Rare Beauty Bouncy Matte blush) as my CC because they are self-setting and play better with this kind of formula. It's important to know that you cannot push this stick down, so only twist up a small amount for each use. If you want to swipe it directly on your skin, you can, but be careful not to apply too much. I personally apply it with a brush in small dabs and gradually build it up. Wait a few minutes, then clean up the excess in your creases. If you have super oily skin or are known to sweat/crease excessively, I'd recommend setting with a powder. The secret to flawless makeup isn't just the products used, but it's the technique. I can complete all the steps mentioned in ~5 minutes and know my face is locked in (with a solid setting spray, of course). Taking your time doesn't mean spending 1+ hour on a full-face, but diligently following the best-practice steps and giving the makeup time to set before running out the door. Overall, I'd recommend this for those looking for light, natural coverage (esp if you don't plan to wear anything else on your skin). TLDR; This is not a necessity, but I will get good use out of it on vacation or for outdoor sports activities (sunscreen + this and head out the door). Natasha Denona HyGlam is still my holy grail as the coverage is fantastic, and you can wear it for everyday looks or special occasions.
best concealer
ive tried many concealers trying to find one that isnt drying and doesnt crease and i finally found one. this glides on and blends in like a dream. i only use the tiniest amount of baked setting powder (i use the saie undetectable powder) to set it and it doesn't budge ir dry out all day. definitely more medium coverage than full but that is my personal preference anyway! i use the shade 0.5
