I have used this product consistently in the mornings for a few weeks now. I have always had sensitive skin that reacts/turns red to most skincare products, especially after dermaplaning my face. However, I recently dermaplaned and applied this product immediately after and did not have any redness ...

I love this toner, but does this toner love me?

I want to start by saying I have moderately sensitive, normal-dry skin. I really loved this toner right off the bat. It feels SO GOOD upon application, like super hydrating to the touch. It's watery in consistency, but not super thin like other watery toners. I don't know if it has added scent, but the scent is very natural and comforting and muted. It reminded me of oats if I remember correctly. It was super hydrating and I still think it got me through the dry winter months I experience in my part of the desert. I just really enjoyed the experience of putting this on (as someone who is texture sensitive) and my skin seemed to love it! I was using this in tandem with the Byoma Hydrating Serum and I was definitely glowy. I used up the entirety of the bigger bottle and was sad to see it go because while I really loved it, I had always planned to try a few milky toners to see what I really liked. I even considered buying the smaller size in case I come across a milky toner I didn't like so I could have it as emergency backup, especially since it felt so soothing on my skin, and even if I didn't emergency need it, I figured I would use it at some point. I felt it was probably going to be the best toner I was going to try. I came to the final decision to just wait out on buying another bottle until I felt I needed/tried all the other toners I wanted to. It's been about 10 days since I finished my bottle and now that I'm looking at other reviews I'm realizing that I had some mild cystic acne happening. It wouldn't get irritated or cause any crazy texture, but I had it. I had no idea what my skin was reacting to, but now considering my skin as of the last week... I wonder if it was this toner causing the issue because a lot of it has cleared up, and that's amidst the time of the month when my skin breaks out and hates me! And I have had recent breakouts, but the small cystic spots have noticeably lessened. I will admit that my skincare been changing somewhat consistently since last fall. I'm not just trying new things all the time, but more so I started project pan last fall and started finishing lowkey expired or almost expired products that were also half-full or less. So while I'm not trying things just to try them and I purchase with consideration to my skin, I don't know what exact ingredients my skin hates yet and I'm replacing an old product that I emptied with a different, new product every 1-2 weeks. I kind of just figured the spots were a reaction to something slightly expired and I didn't care because the things I thought might be causing it were almost done and again, the spots weren't red and irritated or super textured on the surface, so it was whatever. I figured it would eventually figure itself out, that I just needed to keep my face clean, exfoliated, etc. But now... I'm unsure. I'm just going to leave this at 3 stars because I REALLY want to love this, I DO love this product. I just don't know if it loves me or if I was using it at a time when something else in my skincare was making me react and I just happened to finish both products in the same 2-week span. I'm going to come back to this in the future and try again when my routine is more stable and I have a better idea of what my skin doesn't like.

Added this to regimen and began breaking out horribly. I've never had cystic acne before, and this caused it. As soon as I stopped, the breakouts began to subside. I cannot recommend this to anyone.
