Disappointing shade range/undertones/descriptions

Color is Orange on Me!
I may have made a shade mistake, but the color I ordered looks crayon orange on me. If orange would correct whatever you are hoping correct, this would be perfect for you! However, this does not work with my olive skin. The two shades lighter than the one I ordered looks so light on my device, I might as well wear glow sticks under my eyes. It had a nice texture when I tried it and it did not pull my under eye skin.
Not what I thought it would be
I thought I was buying a color corrector for my dark under eye circles. Well, this might be useful for an Oompa Loompa, not that's about it. When I opened it the product flew out of the case and landed on my counter. Then the color was just wrong.
It broke the moment I started using it.
I opened the box and began applying the product to my face when the entire tip broke off.

Orange... not "Peachy Pink"
I wish I had seen the review with the photo comparing Peachy Pink with the Charlotte Tilbury corrector before I bought this, because it is SPOT ON. I have a light/medium neutral skin tone, slightly olive and currently use Charlotte Tilbury layered with Becca for my hereditary undereye dark circles. I'm always on the lookout for something more economical, but this is not it. Peach and Orange are not the same thing, I couldn't get this to work for me, maybe for more tanned skin tones? I don't know. I can't review longevity or if it creases, because there was no way I was going out in public with it on my face,

How do you know which color to use?

Origin (orangey red) is best for deep skin tones, Rise (terra cotta) for medium skin tones, Perk (peachy pink) for light skin tones, and Aura (light pink) for fair skin tones. What about fair skin with sallow eyes? For reference, I am a 4 to 4.5 in our light reflecting foundation, which is DEAUVILLE or Vienna. My skin has lots of redness in it, but I am a more neutral, cool tone, but my lids and under eyes are dark.
