I usually find sweet gourmand perfumes way too heavy, but this one gets it exactly right. It opens with a juicy burst of raspberry mousse and dries down into the prettiest mix of rose macarons, warm vanilla, and amber. It basically smells like a luxury French dessert, but in a totally chic, grown-up way. I put it on in the morning before work and by the end of my shift I was STILL getting compliments. I really wanted to love Glimmer by Estée Lauder, but unfortunately, this fragrance wasn't for me. At first, I found the scent a bit too strong. However, once it dried down, it became so subtle that I could barely notice I was wearing perfume. Personally, I prefer fragrances with a more noticeable scent. I absolutely love Estée Lauder and have other perfumes from the brand that I've repurchased more than three times! While I wouldn't purchase Glimmer for myself, I would definitely consider gifting it to someone who enjoys this type of fragrance.

Overall, I think it is a high quality scent. I enjoyed using it on several outings, and think it isn't too strong for everyday use. The scent name makes me think of shining glitter and smells like what high class feels like. It does lack that "X" factor that would keep me from wanting to go out and buy it, but I think that some people will really love it.
