Apply to lash line as a liner, all over lid as an eyeshadow, or as a base for powder shadows. Immediately blend out edges with fingertips or a brush. Propel shadow stick up from the base just enough to apply product on eyelids; do not twist more than needed. Snap cap closed after use to prevent product from drying out.

terrible packaging! do not waste money
You will like the color but you will not be able to use it as intended since the product does not stay in the stick. 3 out or 3 were broken and fell out.
There are much better eyeshadow sticks for the price!
I usually like Milani products, but this one is a no go. The clear plastic wrap took me almost 10min to remove & as soon as I opened the tube. the whole eyeshadow stick fell out. The color Sterling (described as silver) looks nothing like it does online. It's gold & super sparkly. The sparkles are hard to remove & spread all over when I was washing my face. I'm returning this.
Terrible packaging
To be clear, the low rating isn't for the color payoff. Milani's color range for its products has always been excellent for a "drugstore" line, and that applies to these eyeshadow sticks. I was excited to try this color (Moss) in particular because I love a green eyeshadow with a subtle shimmer. My problem and the reason for the low rating is the packaging. The shrink-wrap ensured the product was unopened, but does nothing to protect the soft eye pencil from things like bumps or accidental drops. So incredibly disappointing to open the eyeshadow stick and see it's already broken (stick snapped in half) before I can even use it.
Stick inside may be dry and break
I purchased color Terra, it is really beautiful and goes on very smoothly. My product may have been defective because shortly after I started using it it kept breaking in pieces even when I expose only a very small part of the product.
I would not buy again.
Although the color is beautiful it's not for those who wear corrective lenses as this shadow seems to really irritate the eyes. Also mine came fully packaged and sealed but completely broken. So I couldn't even return it. Smashed and a big chunk broken off.
