Versatile summer day fragrance for the city

Gentleman Society Sport opens up very lemon forward with a slight sweetness, like smelling an Italian lemon hard candy whilst having a touch of green background that reminds me of peppermint to my nose The blast of tangy lemon is tamed within 5-10 minutes of opening, and the green from peppermint i...s very much moved to the back at this point. It begins to mellow down to a calming citrusy shower gel scent that would be pleasing to most noses. So the name sports fits extremely well. There is a soapy and slight powdery aspect, I do detect. I feel a tiny iris is present and it's very minimal, staying in the background taking a supportive role to create the gentlemen DNA that works in the warmer days. In the dry down, you are left with clean musk and creamy woods. There is an earthiness that's coming from, I assume vetiver supported by a touch of sweetness coming from vanilla. For the seasons, definitely summer and spring, but you can wear this all season, making you feel clean, uplifted and refreshed. Very pleasant, and people around you won't be offended. That said, the slight sweetness leans on the approachable playfulness, perfect for summer dates and hanging out with friends, but you might want to skip the office or serious situations. This is very easygoing and I like the stress-free vibes the fragrance creates. This is not a sweet or scratchy ambroxan scent that's been dominating the shelves in the past 5-10 years. It is similar to late 2000s - early 2010s summer scents. It's well blended, and it is the least "gentlemen" of all the flankers. If you are like me and this line wasn't to your taste, don't skip this one; it might surprise you.
