As part of our commitment to deliver high-quality, effective products, certain parabens are used in some of our formulations to ensure the safety of our consumers. Extensive research spanning decades has confirmed the parabens in our portfolio are safe at the concentrations we use. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates the personal care industry, upholds these findings. While we take great care in evaluating each ingredient we use and are confident in our products’ safety, we know there is public conversation encouraging consumers to avoid certain ingredients, as is the case with some parabens. Based on growing demand for products that do not include parabens, we substituted them for other preservatives in some of our products. Full 'n Soft is a great formula if you are looking for waterproof coverage that will not clump or lead to lash breakage. So many newer formulas are good 'short term' options, but require additional serums to maintain the quality of your lashes over time. Not so with this product! This product is a staple in my makeup bag.
What has happened to this mascara???

I have purchased 3-4 recently from various locations to test and all are not the product I have used faithfully for years, so I'm assuming there has been a change to the formula which is very disappointing! The prior formula went on smoothly, allowed you to separate lashes and did not stick at all to an eyelash curler. Now, it's sticky and clumpy and I about ripped my eyelashes out with the eyelash curler this morning. Those who are faithful users of the Maybelline NY Full 'N Soft Waterproof mascara will most definitely notice a significant difference.

I tried this back in high school circa 2013 when Lauren Conrad swore it was her holy grail mascara. I bought the waterproof version for my watery, allergy prone eyes and liked it, but didn't stick with it because I was obsessed with false-lash level volume and it didn't offer that. Now that I'm older and like a more natural look, I always keep a tube of this on hand for the spring. I have horrible seasonal allergies and sensitive, watery eyes, and this is the only one that doesn't irritate them (which is a shock bc usually Maybelline mascaras irritate my eyes). It's a minimalist mascara - this won't give insane volume or length, but a soft flutterh look that looks natural. I don't use it on my bottom lashes because it tends to smudge, but it's great on the top lashes and build able depending on the look you want. It's also great because if I do end up with watery eyes and am out and about and can only find a tissue to wipe it off, it flakes off cleanly rather than smearing everywhere.
