Parabens are a group of commonly used ingredients that act as a preservative in cosmetics and personal care products. They are highly effective in preventing the growth of fungi, bacteria, and yeast that could contaminate and degrade products. As part of our commitment to deliver high-quality, effective products, certain parabens are used in some of our formulations to ensure the safety of our consumers. Extensive research spanning decades has confirmed the parabens in our portfolio are safe at the concentrations we use. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), which regulates the personal care industry, upholds these findings. While we take great care in evaluating each ingredient we use and are confident in our products’ safety, we know there is public conversation encouraging consumers to avoid certain ingredients, as is the case with some parabens. Based on growing demand for products that do not include parabens, we substituted them for other preservatives in some of our products. Consumers can look on our products’ labels to see what ingredients are included. The product has changed. I have been using the waterproof, full and soft since I was in high-school. Now it is all heavy,clumpy,and sticky?????

I LOVE this mascara! The brush is the perfect shape and the bristles are the perfect width and shape for making my lashes look fuller without clumping. My only wish is that Maybelline still made this in Black Brown, which is softer against my fair complexion.
Something has changed for the worse.

I agree with the recent reviews, something has changed for the worse regarding the ingredients. The ability to apply evenly is gone, it just clumps now. The wear time has drastically reduced and seems actually harder to remove, which is funny because it sheds like crazy throughout the day and irritates my eyes. I have used this mascara for the past 15-20 years and loved it, but now sadly, I am considering other mascaras. Please go back to your old formula!
love this mascara!
although it's kinda difficult to remove (both a pro and con), it's beautiful on the lashes. i have very straight lashes and this holds my lashes up when i curl them. very good and affordable mascara. would purchase again when i run out. :)

Almost Perfect! Love the waterproof. I wish it was very slightly thinner, so it wouldn't clump and glob (I always have to use a lash sepatater while applying). Also wished it came in a Brown/Black color (Very Black is a bit too dark for my complexion) I am a dark blonde, so any lighter, and this definitely wouldn't work. Again, it almost hit the mark, but......I'm still looking.
