Right out of the package upon first use, it seemed a little dry at first but after screwing cap back on, shaking, tapping, and unscrewing, more product seemed to appear, but not a lot. it's very beginner friendly! i don't know much about makeup but it has been fairly easy to apply and looks very natural. the color also matches pretty well and looks seamless. i prefer this type rather than a precise pencil, especially on really chaotic mornings!
