Very soft bristles and not poky at all. It's a semi dense brush and more flexible rather than stiff. I tried it with cream contour and foundation and both worked very well. It gives a natural finish when I apply foundation with it, and the brush doesn't seem to eat away the product. It just glides onto my skin smoothly. Very pleasant user experience.
