What is this supposed to smell like? I'm obsessed with Murad products, so I decided to buy this toner. The reviews say it smells great and citrus like. Mine smells like chemicals, almost like I'm putting whiskey on my face. It gave me an immediate headache. Did I get an expired bottle maybe? I intend on shipping back if this is not normal?

What is the difference between Essential-C toner and the Hydrating toner?

Lecithin aids in hydration and also the protection of the individual cells. A powerful blends of vitamins C, E and grapeseed extract protect the skin from free radical damage. The Essential C Toner contains alanine, proline and lysine along with other amino acids help to condition the skin while restoring balance and fighting free radical damage. What I can share with you is that Dr. Murad creates formulas based on a result not a percentage. Everyone keeps commenting "my face looks/feels great." Well, what does that mean exactly? A consultant at Ukta helped me find products to get rid of my redness and broken capillaries in my cheeks. Well, this is not the product to help with those issues. I'm very disappointed that the consultant led me to this product when in fact it has nothing to do with improving redness or broken capillaries in my cheeks and facial area. It does have a nice refreshing citrus smell and does seem to remove the remaining make up left over from washing my face with a facial cleanser; however, this is the only thing that I saw that this product is useful for.
