 The Double Shot Oval Blow-Dryer Brush

I really wanted to love the Drybar Double Shot Oval Blow-Dryer Brush, especially given Drybar's reputation, but this was a huge disappointment for me. For reference, I have naturally wavy hair that falls to my mid-back. I also own the Revlon One-Step Root Booster, which I've been using for years to give myself a smooth blowout. The Revlon takes my hair from wavy to smooth in less than 10 minutes on the lowest warm setting. Unfortunately, the Double Shot couldn't compete. The only way it would even begin to smooth out my waves was on the highest heat setting, and even then it took over 30 minutes to get my hair remotely straight. The brush is also quite heavy, making it uncomfortable to use for extended periods, and it frequently snagged my hair while styling. Another issue was the noise level. Because of the brush design, the airflow seemed much louder and closer to my ear than my Revlon, making the experience less comfortable overall. One of the claims that attracted me to this tool was that it would leave hair shiny and smooth. In my experience, it made my hair look less than when I started, despite spending significantly more time styling it. My Revlon actually leaves my hair looking smoother and healthier with far less effort. Thankfully, I purchased the Double Shot during a 50% off sale and used rewards points, bringing my cost down to about $50. Had I paid full price, I would have been even more disappointed. Overall, I don't think the Drybar Double Shot offers enough performance to justify its premium price tag. Compared side-by-side with my Revlon One-Step Root Booster, it takes longer, requires higher heat, is louder, snags my hair, adds no noticeable shine, and delivers worse results. Save your money and buy the Revlon. Pros: Attractive design, good airflow Cons: Heavy, loud, snags hair, requires maximum heat, takes too long to straighten wavy hair, adds no shine, and is overpriced for the results.

I had wantd to try a blow dryer brush for a while but I emded up buying this because I broke my wrist! This was a lifesaver! And what I discovered was that it really does a great job with less time and effort. It has several speeds as well as heat options. This will be one of my favorite tools.

I've been using this blowdryer once a week for 5 YEARS. I have straight medium length hair and I use this to get great volume and nice ends. I never had the patience for a normal round brush and blow dryer. Yes the bristles get bent out of shape but doesnt effect the blowout. And thiigh it does get hot, I use the kenra blowout spray and never have seen any damage. My SIL had some issues with hers and the Drybar customer service was great and sent her a new one.

super loud but left my hair smooth and shiny. it does get hot even on the lowest setting but nothing crazy. unfortunately it shut off in the middle of my 4th time using it and never turned back on.
