Not at all bad, but not "me"
This one is "nice"….. It's certainly pleasant enough, not at all offensive (at least not to me, or to my fiancée), but also not exactly what I would choose for my "go-to" scent. Dior Homme kind of rides the line between interesting and…. I don't want to say "bland" or "ordinary", because that's not quite right. It's just also not exactly "exciting", either. There is definitely an air of sophistication here. Dior did a great job with bringing together floral notes with woody, very masculine undertones, and while the sweetness can be a little aggressive when it's first applied, that smooths out after the fragrance "wears in" (about 15 - 20 minutes for me). Overall, this is a scent that lives on the border of distinctive and subtle. If you can, I'd recommend checking it out before you buy - it's not for everyone, but it's definitely for someone!
Great for Everyday Wear
I've been a fan of the Dior Homme line, so I was excited to try The New Parfum. It smells really nice with a strong iris opening that's both classy and subtle. But, I have to say, it's less bold than the older ones. The amber and woody notes are warm and comforting, but it doesn't last as long as l'd like, and it's not as loud in terms of how it projects. The bottle looks sharp and modern, which I love, but if you're expecting the leathery vibe of the past, this might not be for you. It's more of an everyday scent - great for work or casual days out. Overall, it's a nice evolution, but not a revolutionary one. If you're into something more understated and sophisticated, give it a go. Overall, is a great day scent but not quite bold enough for the night. This review is regarding a free sample I received.
More mass appealing than the previous DHP
This gets some hate from the fragrance community because it smells significantly different from the beloved previous version of Dior Homme Parfum. But if you look at it as a new fragrance, which it is here in the US, you'll be surprised at how good it is. It's a sweet iris romantic scent. Very beautiful artistic fragrance that gives off a metrosexual vibe.
Smells great, but doesn't last as long as i'd like.
It smells fantastic but doesnt seem to last too long on me. It might be better with an atomizer as opposed to the stick that it cam with. Would love to try it as a spray as i feel it would last longer and have more even coverage.
Safe reacher
Nice packaging secure bottle. I haven't owned any dior fragrances before because I smelled sauvage way too much everywhere and I thought the other offerings were a bit too mature. This is a nice new addition still leans mature masculine but it's lighter than previous renditions. The iris doesn't come through very heavily and the sweetness is toned up a lot higher than previous Dior frags. Not an innovation but a solid masculine fragrance for colder nights.
