Technique Matters—It Works
Surprised by the negative reviews! As someone really into skincare, I've learned application matters with this product. If it feels too oily, adjust the mix: 1 gel + 2 capsules (dry), 2 gels + 1 capsule (oily), or 1 + 1 (combo). The tingling "stabbing" feeling is intentional—it's a micro-spicule needling effect that boosts absorption. I've noticed softer smile lines, less acne, and a healthy glow. Don't let the negative reviews fool you. Definitely worth trying if used correctly!
stings and directions don't make sense
it says get a capsule out and mix with the clear gel, but its not capsules, it is just different colored gel. I don't understand what they mean by that. It feels like pins going in your skin!

I had to wash it off my skin and neck and when I looked in the mirror, I had red spots and blotches on my cheeks and a few on my neck; just within that short amount of time. I received this gift from my daughter on Christmas but just now opened the jar. ULTA would not take my return because missed the 60 day return policy nor would they offer me a store credit for this expensive and useless item. I will not be using this skin care company or ULTA again. Bad Customer Service and Terrible Product.
Really works
I have sensitive skin and no current retinol products in my routine, so I was hesitant to start. Directions say to apply gently, I used one yellow pod and small amount of clear gel to start. It does come with a paddle to make this step easy. I applied at night. It is sticky until it absorbs. I woke up with glowng skin. 10/10 and will use evey few days to manage retinol being new to my routine.
Good for sensitive skin
I usually can't handle retinol because my skin is sensitive, but this one hasn't caused any bad reactions. It feels a little tingly when you first put it on, but nothing uncomfortable. I started using it about 3 times a week and after two weeks I've been using it nightly. So far my forehead lines are starting to soften and my skin looks better overall. I'm really happy I found a retinol that actually works without being too harsh.
