My new daily perfume, after searching for years

I have sampled probably over 300 different perfumes over the years (not kidding) trying to find one I like. When I found Honey by Marc Jacobs, that was my soulmate scent and it was discontinued. I settled for the classic Daisy eau de parfum (not the toilette!) but this scent was more for going-out, ...a bit much for daily wear. They discontinued that, too. My next bottles I tried and enjoy were "Serene" by Scent Organix, a very fresh lightly floral scent I love, but it was a de toilette so staying-power wasn't strong. I liked the "Salt" and "Sweet" de parfum scents by Ellis Brooklyn because they were fresh enough for daily wear and had a decent staying power. But I wasn't 100% hooked. I use "Fresh Air" laundry detergent/softener by Method and I double the dose so the scent is notable on my clothes, and I like the idea of my perfume being in the same "fresh" category as my detergent to keep it somewhat consistent, and then I tried Ouai's original body wash (Dean street scent) and loved it enough to sample the perfume. I bought the bottle and their (Dean Street) hand lotion (it is thin consistency so I use it as body lotion!) for layering purposes, and altogether I smell so clean and fresh throughout the day AND night. I like that it is a scent I can wear any time and that with layering, the staying power is impressive. I get a compliment on how I smell every time I hug someone or am within a few feet of someone, so it's strong enough to radiate off of you to those nearby but wouldn't have the whole room gassed out by the scent (I hate that because I know some people are sensitive to scent) so it's just perfect. I never thought I liked floral notes but this one proved me wrong! Lightly floral with almost an oceanic citrus. If you don't want to invest in a full bottle first, either try their body wash to see how you like that or get a smaller sample of the perfume on their website to try it out. I also use all Ouai product for my hair now too, I enjoy the Melrose Place scented products for my hair in particular. Great brand.
