What is the difference between Curl Enhancer and Curl Definer?

- Official Answer By Living Proof - BEThank you so much for your inquiry. Both Curl Enhancer and Curl Definer are CONDITIONING stylers, and will provide the results you desire. What is determinant here is the curl pattern of your hair. If you have a wave to your hair, the Curl Enhancer will provide a hold factor that will keep that wave from loosening and also provide light conditioning. If you have a more definable curl, we recommend the Curl Definer. This product will provide a bit more hydration, which would be needed with a lighter hold factor.. Being in my late 50's I have been called by my kid's & grandchildren "the old hippie". My hair which has always been long & curly (but fine?) is starting to fall out A LOT. I pair this living proof for waves with the Living proof for curls (creams no gels or mousses) & I use a tiny amount of each, dry with a defused & get so many compliments. I cut my hair myself, ends & layers & a face frame. It's just curls more overnight! Love it.
My curl clumping Holy Grail
This is my favorite product! I have tried so, so many. For reference, I have bleached fine hair, so it is dry. My curls need help getting clumped together on wash day and staying clumped through the styling process. This HELP keeping my curls clumped is what the Living Proof Curl Definer does. After I get my curls how I want them with the LP Definer, then I gently glaze a gel over my curls for hold. Then I diffuse. I have tried many other curl creams but my curls would break apart during the styling process. FYI- if you have very fine hair that's easily weighed down or gets greasy by rich products, then this LP Definer is not your thing. It's super duper moisturizing!

This cream works well for my hair.

Got sent a sample of this with another order. I have 2c/3a curls & fine hair, and this product did not hold my curls throughout the day. It starts off looking fine, and I like that it never gets crunchy, but by the end of the day it looks like I have nothing in my hair. I definitely can't get a second day of wear out of this… If your curls only need a little help, you could try this, but if you need more hold (like me) I wouldn't recommend this.
