Once a product is opened and used, its integrity can be affected by such things as exposure to environmental conditions or from contact with the user’s skin. i Use several Bobbi Brown products, and love all of them, so I was disappointed that I really don't love this lipstick. I ordered the "Lilac" color, which is lovely. The problem comes from the way it goes on. It's described as being a combination lipstick and lip balm, so I expected it to be a bit juicy, and glide on easily. Instead, it goes on like the most matte of lipsticks. I could feel the skin on my lips being dragged along as I applied the lipstick. To me, there isn't even a hint of "balm" in this product. It's my first disappointment with Bobbi Brown.

I was looking for a natural looking pink lipstick. Babe is perfection! I have pale skin and have a hard time finding a pink lipstick that doesn't lean towards mauve. This one is bright and blue based! It also looks great layered with the crush gloss in Love Letter (another favorite).

I'm taking away one star because I have very dry lips (I live in Arizona and the desert environment isn't kind to dry skin). With this formula, I have to either apply a moisturizing lip balm (like a really really moisturizing lip balm) or gloss over this lipstick. I have this lipstick in blackberry. I'll usually wear it when I want a 'no makeup' makeup look.
