    Seems to work

I really hesitated to buy this because of the price and I wasn't sure how it would work but Ulta has such a libral return policy I thought I would try it. I used this when my hair had a lot of gray roots and I should have been using a box color like I usually do so this was a pretty tough test of th...

    Does not work!

Discovered this at Ulta by accident. I was excited about this product. I'm getting tired of root touch ups every 2 weeks. Well it did nothing. I left it on for 40 mins. As I was waiting, it looked like my roots were turning golden brown. I needed darker, but I would have been fine with it. Washed ...

    Not Worth The $$

I got this in the 21 days of beauty sale and thank goodness because it is definitely not worth the full price. I have highlighted bright blonde hair and have started to grow it out to my natural color (dark blonde/very light brown). I've tried a number of different color depositing conditioners as it is growing out to help even out the lighter blonde with the dark blonde. Many of the light brown deposting conditioners have a red undertone, and I have needed to use a toner after to correct this. I was glad this was labeled as "cool" toned light brown and was hopeful. The thing is, this doesn't deposit much color at all. I left it on for 30 minutes and there wasn't much color change. I have since used it several times, leaving it on for the 30 minutes and I'm unimpressed with the color depositing aspect. Even my dryer ends didn't change. On the positive side, it does make your hair lovely and soft and I get a great blowdry after I use it. I wouldn't say glossy, though. Perhaps some of the other colors in this line are better, but I'm not super impressed with this one. If you've got money to waste, give it a go, but otherwise I'd say try a different brand, like Keracolor (which is brilliant).

    Does nothing- do not buy

This product made a mess and did nothing for my hair. I ordered 3 shades darker than my natural hair color and it did not tint in the slightest. Also added no shine what so ever. It stained my comb, hair clip, and my wall that it splattered on. Makes a huge mess to clean up and had no results.

    Terrible

This smells terribly, fishy. It leaves my hair feeling extremely dry. The color deposit does not last past 1 wash. This is a very bad product.

A subtle glow-up for dark brown hair

I'm so happy with how this turned out. My hair is very dark, and I was a little nervous that Medium Brown wouldn't show up, but it gave my hair the prettiest, rich brown warmth and so much shine. It still looks like my hair, just healthier and softer. My curls also looked really bouncy afterward. Such an easy little at-home refresh; I would absolutely repurchase.

Do i need to use gloves?
    Asked by Juli
Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand Engage
Yes, especially when using our darker shades. We always recommend wearing gloves when applying Gloss+ to prevent staining your hands. Be sure to protect ALL porous surfaces, including countertops, sinks, and surrounding areas, as well as hairline and hands. Was this answer helpful to you
    Q
My hair is highlighted with gray and my natural color is turning a mousy light brown dark blonde but underneath in back is my natural color level 7-8 i was a Auburn color would the auburn color work to blend when I have 3 different shades on my hair
    Asked by Manatee
Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand Engage
Great question! With the different tones in your hair, we'd suggest blending Gloss+ Auburn with Gloss+ Light Brown for a more balanced result. Gloss+ is designed for gray blending rather than full gray coverage, so a strand test is especially important to see how the color takes to your highlights, grays, and natural hair! Q
I have hand tied extensions. Is this safe to use on them?
    Asked by Tristen
Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand Engage
We recommend doing a small strand test before applying this product all over your hair. Apply a small amount of Gloss+ to an inconspicuous section and follow the label recommendations to check compatibility. If you have any questions or need help choosing the right product or shade, let us know and we’ll be happy to work with you! Reach out to info@dphue.com for further assistance. Q
Do you just rinse out or do you have to use shampoo?
    Asked by Sien
Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand Engage
HI! Gloss+ should be used like a deep conditioner, and you can simply style as normal after rinsing away. Safe to use as needed for a boost of shine and color refresh! Was this answer helpful to you
    Q
Will it lift my natural hair color?
    Asked by JJ
Official Answer By dpHUE - Brand Engage
Gloss+ won’t lift your natural or treated hair color. It’s a pigmented deep conditioner, also known as a semi-permanent hair color, with no ammonia or peroxide. It colors the outer strands of the hair and gently fades in about 6–10 shampoos. As always, we recommend doing a strand test first! Was this answer helpful to you
