Cleanse the skin thoroughly before applying medication. Cover the entire affected area with a thin layer 1-3 times daily. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with 1 application daily, then gradually increase to 2-3 times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
Precautions: For external use only. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before using if you are using other topical acne medications at the same time or immediately following use of this product. This may increase dryness or irritation of the skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor. When using this product avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, flush thoroughly with water. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Please bring back Hope in a Bottle
This product is more gelatinous and wet in consistency, and feels slick on the skin most of the day (like oil). I prefer Hope in a Bottle, which is a satiny (less wet) lotion. Clear Days may fight acne and control oil, but the slippery wet feel on the skin is not what I want, so oil control is moot....

Allergic reaction in 14 year old daughter

My 14 year old daughter had an allergic reaction to this product. She has tree nut and peanut allergies and we had a pretty unfortunate reaction today, and we went to ED to ensure no anaphylactic shock. She is okay, but it was worth me looking into the impact of the ingredients. Not sure what caused it, but we have discontinued use. Be careful if you have nut allergies.. Licorice root is in the same "plant family" as peanuts and legumes.

If you struggle with acne through out the years, this the product for you! I have been buying this at least six years now and two boxes per older at least twice a year continually! It has help skin so much that I recommend it to everyone I Know and overall a great moisturizer as well.

Gentle enough for sensitive skin. I'm not seeing a huge decrease in the instance of acne or outbreaks, but it's a decent cleanser overall.
