I have extremely dry lips and was looking for a replacement for Avene's Cold Cream balm (old formula). This product had so many positive reviews that I though it would be worth a try. Repaired my lips within a week
My lips were wrecked — by evening they looked like two tiny shriveled raisins no matter what I put on them. My dermatologist gave me a medicated balm I used for a month straight, and the second I stopped, things got even worse. I tried every combo of balms, hydrators, and occlusives. Nothing helped. I grabbed this on a whim because it had a 100/100 on Yuka, fully expecting to return it. But for the first time in years, my lips felt truly hydrated right away, and after a week of constant use they actually looked full and healthy **even at the end of the day in winter weather**. I'm honestly blown away. If you don't have real barrier or hydration issues, it might feel underwhelming, but if you've struggled and nothing has worked, this is absolutely worth trying — it's even safe for infants! I won't go without it now ❤️
Excellent Lip Treatment
I used to use Clinique all about lips -Discontinued. Decided to give this a try. I use to prevent fever blisters, if I use it every morning I don't get them. This product has worked extremely well at preventing them.
The best things for allergy prone/ eczema lips
This - like a lot of Avene products - is the only thing I can use on my lips that doesn't make them worse. It actually heals and protects without causing further irritation and awful PEELING. Like someone mentioned, in a heavier layer, it does leave a white cast, but I apply it at night and my lips are so much healthier that I have no need to be reapplying product all day like I have in the past with other products.
Holy Grail!!
I tend to get atopic dermatitis around my mouth, and eyes. It is usually tiny dry bumps, and cracks at the corners of my mouth. This is the only thing that helps. I have tried EVERYTHING. After one application and a few hours I notice a big difference. In a day or two of regular use it is gone. I don't know what I would do without this lip balm?! I think that it is the Sucrafate that is a barrier and allows your skin to heal quickly. I've purchased the larger size of their cream hoping to save a little money, but it didn't work the same magic for me on my lips. Hope this helps someone else!
Will buy again
This is one of the few lip products I have found that actually helps. I use this every night, and I no longer have to apply lip balm every 5 minutes throughout the day. It actually makes a noticable difference. If you are constantly applying lip balm, you might want to give this a try. It's not cheap but not outrageously expensive.
