I work in front of the camera and one the hair stylists used this brush on my hair. I have thick, full, slightly frizzy, wavy-curly hair. My usual style is a sleek blow out with lots of volume. I have always used large round brushes with mixed bristles, especially to achieve volume. The best part of this brush is it makes blow drying time faster. You don't have to run the brush through your hair as much as you would with a round brush. The finish leaves the hair completely frizz free, sleek, shiny, glossy--without ANY product. I usually finish the look with a shine serum just on my ends. Now that I have been introduced to this brush, I no longer need to lug around four different types of paddle brushes, round brushes, teasing combs, ect. I just take this brush and my blow dryer. I bought two of them and keep on in my travel bag. I have noticed the bristles began curling up after about six months of use. I don't know if that is standard or if I just use a lot of heat with mine. Either way, the result is worth replacing it twice a year, the price can't be beat. This is a must for any beauty kit! Makes great gifts also!
I bought this brush and a $2.99 Zoe Black & Silver Paddle brush to see if it was worth paying extra for a hair brush. I have wild, wavy hair that I like to blow dry straight, so I was looking for a brush that was good for that. I would have to say that this brush does not measure up to the $2.99 brush. It does not brush through my entire hair, but rather just brushes the top surface of it. Once my hair is straight, then this brush is okay to use for regular brushing but does not work well for blow drying it. It is gentle because it does not brush through the entire hair so pulling or getting caught in a tangle is less likely to occur. I saw other reviews talking about a pic that is built into the brush, and the tag that was on the brush also mentioned it, but I have not discovered where that is. Overall, I would not have bought this brush and would only recommend it to someone who has naturally straight and somewhat thin hair for them to use for regular brushing but not styling.

olivia garden has some the best brushes out there, they're definitely worth the price. i literally have 7 different brushes of hers (i counted 7 in my head but i might be forgetting 1, so i might even have 8), besides that all the positive reviews speak for themselves. and i've purchased all these brushes within the last year or so, i've never cared to much about brushes until i seen a lot of hair stylists talking about her brushes and once i got my first one which was a round brush of hers i was literally hooked. great brushes!

I was wary about purchasing this brush due to the price tag and negative reviews but I took a shot and I'm glad I did. I've owned Olivia garden brushes in the past and I've loved them, they last years and are good quality. This brush leaves my hair so smooth and shiny! I took away one star because when I first got it the static was ridiculous but after using it on wet hair it was fine. Plus the mixed bristles do wonders for you ends. Will be buying again!

Was great for a while. I've had this one less than a year and the round ball tips of the nylon tips have fallen off most of them, and now it's a painfull scratch at your scalp. I don't really have a sensitive scalp and let me tell you, it hurts. Maybe I'll look into the boar hair only brush bc the ball tips definitely are a no go.

I had purchased one a long time ago and it lasted me a long time... too long even! The boar bristles were actually freyed and nearly all of the nylon tips were still attached. It's replacement only lasted a couple months before I had to toss it because all of the tips fell of and my scalp was getting tore up. I'm really disappointed because it was such a good brush.

My hair stylist has this so i ordered online. The brush had a terrible smell that didn't go away probably from the sealant from back and top of brush. Had to put in basement until i returned it at store. Even the sales person noticed the smell. It's suppose to be a very good brush but the smell is Toxic. This could be just a bad one and maybe others are ok.

Bought this to take the horrible static that is most of my life living in Wisconsin. It doesn't work. Worse yet most of the tips covering the bristles fell off and more are falling off. It hurts to use and I've only had it a few months.

I love this brush. I literally am on my 3rd one because I wear them out over the years.

I struggled with the price tag on this, but bit the bullet and made the purchase. I'm so glad I did. This is my "dry hair" brush, as I use a detangling brush for my wet hair. This brush leaves my hair super smooth and shiny. It isn't painful at all and so far has held up well. I've had it for about 6-7 months and there isn't a single bristle broken or missing as some other reviews have claimed, and my daughter and I use it every day several times a day. If and when this brush runs its course, I'm absolutely running out and buying another one. 100% worth every penny.

I've owned this brush for less than a year and almost all the protective tips have fallen off, leaving the brush to be a painful, scratching tool. It is very painful to use on my scalp without the round tips, more so than other brushes that I've had where those have fallen off. For the price I paid for this brush, I'll stick to my drugstore brush for less than half the price. This ones going in the trash and I wouldn't buy this brand again.

This brush does not irritate the scalp or tear out hair. Great whether hair is wet or dry.

Great quality brush, it was just too soft for my thick hair

My hair is thin and tangles easily. This brush slides through my hair like butter. No pulling at all.

Love this brush! It doesn't pull or damage my hair. I can use it on my hair dry or wet and it gets any tangles out very easily. My 3 year old daughter hates to have her long hair brushed but if I use this one, she will let me.

the boar head bristle make it a little harder to get through my thick hair but the no static aspect makes up for that. silky shiny because of those bristles. I would like to get on of her brushes without though. I like the feeling of the brush all the way through to my scalp. a good brush overall. nice weight.

Seems to help control my frizz.

This is one of the gentlest brushes I've ever owned. I have a very tender scalp and fine hair, so brushing after any activity tends to be difficult. This brush can work through even my toughest tangles efficiently without excessively tugging my hair. I've owned this brush for years and its held up perfectly.

The Olivia Garden Ceramic + Ion Supreme Combo Oval Cushioned Paddle Brush is gentle on my long, fine hair. Only complaint is that I purchased the brush in hopes of the little plastic ball nylon bristle coverings staying on better than a drugstore version, but those little buggers came off even quicker! Expected more for the money.

I've used the brush for about a week and I really like it! I don't like having a lot of different brushes but I needed a new detangling brush and a boar bristle brush and I saw this combo brush and figured I would give it try. I love that I can detangle ny hair and spread out the natural oils in my hair from the boar bristles. I haven't noticed any of the bristles falling out or bending yet. The handle is also comfortable to grip.

it litterally glides through my hair and it's amazing!!!! I love this brush.

And so does my wife! We have bought this brush 3 times. One for me, one for my wife, and one for my wife to keep at her work. This brush is gentle on our scalps as brushing can give us headaches. I use it to blow dry my roots and my wife uses it for all her brushing needs: wet or dry. Highly recommend this product!

Creates too much static electricity and makes my hair flyaway. I am disappointed but I do like how gentle on my scalp and hair

I bought this brush out of curiosity. I was looking for something that would be gentle on wet hair and also to use on my dry hair before going to bed. I really liked the brush. I happened to be with my sister that has a very sensitive hair and it takes her forever to brush out tangles in wet hair because of her sensitive scalp. I suggested she try my brush and she was very impressed. She was able to brush through her wet hair without it pulling and hurting. Needless to same I gave that brush to my little sister and bought another one for me!

Great for straightening wavy hair!
