Beware! Not for use on darker skin!
Solawave's product guide specifically states having Fitzpatrick type V and VI as a contraindication to use of this device. So disappointing and I can't imagine why it would make it past FDA to market without clearly saying in its marketing/product description that it's only for light and tan skintones. Not at all willing to be a guinea pig and find out what it will do to my skin. Back it goes. Shoutout to Solawave for being a complete waste of my time. Never again.

This works great on occasional mystery pimples! Shrinks em fast and without drying out your skin like zit cream — much faster than trying to wait for it to go away. Follow directions for it to work it's magic!

If I use this device 2xs daily on those areas it significantly reduces inflammation and prevents further breakouts in those areas. There is just no way this device is drying. These type of devices are highly recommended by top notch professionals and when used correctly and with an open mind they are highly effective. You are much better off to use this than not to. It is safe, non-damaging and as effective as it possibly could be. The only "con" is that it is so tiny and therefore the coverage area is minimal, and you hold 3 minutes in each area. This will be my travel, quick, easy and convenient device. After seeing how effective this light therapy actually is, I will be purchasing a full face professional device as well. Also, when you feel the first onset of a breakout, the slightest tingle or sore sensation of emerging acne, USE THIS DEVICE immediately! You will be so impressed. It makes a huge difference!

I love this little bundle of light joy. This one helps in a pinch alleviate an acne moment. I loved how easy it is to use and the color exterior is a total bonus. Great for value!
Feeling Disappointed :(
I bought and tried the Solawave Acne Treatment device just as I was developing a pimple. I read the directions and used the device (as instructed) before going to bed. When I woke up in the morning, the pimple was still there; absolutely no changes to report. After multiple days of use, there is still no visible change. Different things work for different people, and unfortunately this doesn't seem to work for me. I can't really justify spending almost $100 on something that doesn't deliver any results. Note: I do not have severe acne.
