Strong Not as Similar to Me
I am enjoying this latest flanker. I feel it is strong, has decent projection, and does last on my skin all night. I think in the opening it is earthy, mixed with an azonic scent. Is that you, ghost orchid? Then for me it becomes intensely spicy, evolving into a spicy vanilla. A bit after is where I can smell the OG DNA in this flanker. Afterwards, I get some powder entering and after many hours I do smell a powdery background alternating between powdery vanilla and more of a masculine scent. I really like this fragrance. It's quite interesting to me and changes a lot on my skin. I think this is great for a man or a woman.
Beauty in the dry down
The Tom Ford Orchid line has been an experience for me 😅. I do not care for the original Black Orchid. There is a note that just hits me the wrong way. But I do love the EDT and Parfum. This version seems similar to the original in the opening but very different to me in the dry down. Another reviewer said "the patchouli is strong" but that is just in the opening. Give it time and it has a beautiful dry down that turns into a soft floral that reminds me of Velvet Orchid. Just lovely! I am already wanting a back up bottle.
