Summer Nostalgia In A Bottle
As some have said, 'Beach', does have a strong scent of sunscreen, but not the sunscreen which you wear as a shield against skin cancer due to sun damage caused by our destruction of Earth's ozone layer. This is the scent of carefree summers long ago, when you wore tanning lotion for the scent you loved, to enhance your sun worshipping experience and help you wallow in free time, warmth (not dangerous heat), and fresh air. I'm in my 60s and believe in serious skin protection, but to smell like an old-days summer gives me joy. I tried this at a perfume counter and knew right away I'd be buying it. It doesn't smell like a beach, in that it has no scent of fish or weed or hot dogs. It smells like what you want to smell when you visualize your ideal beach experience. I've considered buying Coppertone to use like smelling salts for the same reason, but spraying on, 'Beach', is much less quirky. :)
Lovely Summer Beach Scent
I am very pleased with this blind purchase. I was looking for a lovely beach type summer scent to treat myself for my Birthday and it didn't disappoint. It is soft and does smell like the suntan lotion of old but in a great way. I recall lying in the sun on a super hot day on the beach with the sound of the waves in the background and seagulls crying out. The hot sun and suntan lotion. What more could you need in life? I smell soft musk combined with jasmine. It is floral and a bright, soft feminine scent but I'm sure it would make everyone happy. It isn't strong nor overpowering and I can't smell it for too long but others tell me they can detect it and loved it. Very nice scent.

this DOES smell exactly like sunblock, and NOTHING else. only reason I bought it on sale was due to the high reviews. but I immediately returned it because as others have said, it's as if you're wearing concentrated sunscreen. Just awful

I literally hate perfume and fragrances. They all seem to bother me. This one I don't just like - I LOVE it - it's literally summer in a bottle. It's the only thing I wear and immediately brings me to the summer and the beach. If you're not sure about buying it - do it - it's seriously the best.

I've "rediscovered" this scent over and over again for nearly 2 decades. It's such a lovely beachy summertime scent. The fragrance smell wonderful, but, by itself, does not have much sillage - it would be so nice if, even in limited edition for summer months, the shower gel and body lotion in this scent would be made available again. I don't know why the concept of layering seems to have been forgotten by fragrance makers but it really does help to make scent last so much more effectively.
