Q&A

Showing 3 out of 3 Questions
Q
Would i use this after washing my body with regular unscented soap or does this count as that step on its own?
Asked by Nanny
Official Answer By Bioderma - Brand Engage
Atoderm Shower Oil can completely replace your regular soap. It gently cleanses, deeply hydrates, and leaves your skin feeling comfortable right out of the shower. There's no need to use a traditional soap beforehand. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can this be used as a makeup remover? Eye makeup too?
Asked by Lilo
Official Answer By Bioderma - Brand Engage
Bioderma Atoderm Shower Oil can be used to gently cleanse the face. It’s especially convenient to use while showering, as it can be applied to both the body and face in one easy step. While it provides a gentle cleanse, Bioderma also offers more targeted solutions, especially for makeup removal and facial cleansing, depending on your skin type. If you prefer rinse-off textures, you can find at Ulta: - Sensibio Micellar Cleansing Oil, perfect for effectively removing impurities, sunscreen, and even waterproof makeup while maintaining the skin’s natural balance. - Sensibio Foaming Gel, ideal for a soft, hydrating cleanse that leaves the skin feeling purified, moisturized, and comfortable. Both options are ideal for sensitive skin and can easily be integrated into your daily routine. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What does this smell like? Fruity, dessert and candied scents give me headaches.
Asked by BirdieSue
Official Answer By Bioderma - Brand Engage
Atoderm Shower Oil has a light fragrance that is gentle and not overpowering. It is specifically formulated to respect sensitive skin, offering excellent skin and ocular tolerance. The scent is subtle which makes it ideal for individuals who are sensitive to intense scents. Was this answer helpful to you

texture and lather are nice. i dont like the fragrance. a product that is for extremley dry skin should be fragrance free or at least lower on the ingredient label due to risk of irritation and fragrance allergy. hate this as a face cleaner but its ok for the body.

Most body washes make my skin slough off after I'm done showering (I've always assumed it's because they weren't moisturizing enough but perhaps it's an ingredient I'm sensitive to). This one not only doesn't do that, but it leaves my skin feeling super moisturized for about a day! It's even improved the mild keratosis pillaris on my arms. It does suds up, though not as readily as standard body washes. I am not a fan of the fragrance, but it goes away really quickly and isn't overpowering. Considering it's a body wash for people with atopic dermatitis, I'm surprised they didn't formulate it without fragrance. They should really consider removing the fragrance. Really I can't recommend it enough for people who suffer from dry skin and eczema or atopic dermatitis.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Lasts forever, emphasis on subtle for the scent and it is hydrating like it claims. Its not the fourain of youth but it does its job queitly and respectfully! I wouldnt say I have dry skin but its nice having an extra kick of hydration for the winter season. Its a shower OIL but i still get a lather with my exfoliation rag. I'd compare it to a baby body wash lather 🫧 Does great job removing waterproof makeup and sunscreen without striping skin (apply like cleansing oil first to loosen and then add water to suds it up and remove the makeup). IF YOU HAVE ACNE, youll want to keep an acne product on the side (like a benzoyl peroxide bar/wash). The wash is great for a clean slate but not really treating overgrowth of bacteria. FYI for people with severerly dry CRACKED skin (currently experiencing cracks on heel from autoimmune issue) id definitely recommend it. Theres a "patent" claim on it for creating a biofilm to prevent adhesion of certain bacteria like Staphylococcus Aureus. No stinging in cut either 👍🏼

I used this to wash my hands. It left them sticky after rinsing, and also kinda itchy. There's a notable perfume fragrance that I dislike.
