First Time Tanning

Love this spray! I've never used self-tanner before, and was scared to do my face wrong! So I got the spray, hoping it would be more forgiving. You can mess it up if you spray unevenly, but it's easy to fix splotches because it wears off with Micellular water makeup remover. It doesn't stick around ...on my skin for very long, only about 2-4 days with the days 3, 4 barely being noticeable. I expected that though, because I use a Differin (retinoid). Speaking of, I'm not worried about wrinkles (still in my teens!) but I do have acne, and all the redness, hyperpigmentation, and inflammation that comes with that. Not only does the color from the tan make it slightly less noticeable, but it actually seems to reduce inflammation. My skin is very sensitive and when my skin barrier is broken and I have to stop using Differin to give my skin a few days to recover, the spray still never bothers my compromised skin. I have noticed a smell with the spray, and it sticks around for about two days after. But my family says they can't smell it. I just spray it on in the morning and put my makeup on over it, and by lunchtime I can already see the tan. When applying it in the morning, I have to let it dry completely (about 30 min), not the recommended 30 sec, if I actually want the tan to stick around for longer. I'm going to try the bronzing drops next, just because it seems even less time consuming than the spray. But I'll be repurchasing the spray for the summer for sure.
